Hi, everyone! (Happy late Canada day to my Canadian friends! And happy 4th to those in the U.S.!)
For this holiday weekend, I thought I would just offer you a weekend of winning. What are the prizes?
Well, one person will win an early copy of DEADLY FEAR.
Blurb:
TWO BRILLIANT AGENTS
FBI Special Agent Monica Davenport has made a career out of profiling serial killers. But getting inside the twisted minds of the cruel and the sadistic has taken its toll: She’s walled herself off from the world. Yet Monica can’t ignore fellow agent Luke Dante, the only man who ever broke through her defenses.
ONE DREAM TEAM
Luke has the unique ability to put victims at ease…professionally, he and Monica made a perfect team. Now they’re reunited to catch a murderer who uses his victims’ deepest, darkest fears for sport – but their investigative skills aren’t enough. Luke and Monica will have to face the secrets from their past, the ones that terrify them the most, if they are to have a future together.
But can they catch a killer whose weapon is…DEADLY FEAR?
***
DEADLY FEAR is my first romantic suspense, and it will release on 7/27/10–not far away! But, one winner will get the book sooner than that.
But wait…there’s more. I will also pick one commenter to receive a “surprise” romantic suspense package. What’s in that package? A few of my favorite romantic suspense books.
How do you win? Easy–it’s summer time. Tell me about your favorite summer memory. I am going to let this contest run through the holiday weekend, and then I will pick my 2 winners (I’ll pick randomly).
But wait…because, yes, there’s more.
If you would like to win a copy of I’LL BE SLAYING YOU, then head over to visit the Southern Sizzlers. I’m giving away a copy over there today.
And, wait!!! One more thing…
I am VERY excited about the release of DEADLY FEAR. I hope readers enjoy my dark, sexy suspense story. I hope everyone enjoys the world I’ve created with my FBI agents. I hope they enjoy the book so much that they can’t wait to read the second book in the series. What’s the second book? Well it’s…
DEADLY HEAT will be the second book in my Deadly series, and it will be released in February of 2011. Then, in March of 2011, DEADLY LIES will be available. And, yes, I’ve got that cover, too!
I’ll post the blurbs next week (just want to check with my editor first). Let me just that I really love these covers. Love them!! Thank you to my editor, Alex, and to the great art department at GCP!

My fav summer memories were when my daughter was here.
Happy 4th all.
My favorite summer memory? The Water balloon and water gun fights. They would get INTENSE!!! lol. Happy 4th!
LOVE those covers, excited for those books!
Favorite summer memory?
I have 2, 4th of July 5 years ago when my grandpa first bought his land, and we had a big get together with the whole family with fireworks, and it was the summer we still had our horses.
second one – Last year’s 4th of July, the last one with my grandpa, he wasn’t able to do much, but just having him around with all of us the greatest thing last year.
Happy 4th of July! Those new covers are really lovely.
My favorite summer time memory is of picnics, roasting marshmallows and making smores, and drinking Gramma’s orange lemonade. Most of my family was Canadian and we lived right on Lake Ontario so they’d all come over just about every weekend for a picnic.
Sexy covers!!!!!! 😀
My favorite summer memory is spending time at my nana’s house during the summer, where the weather is perfect blend of hot `& cold, the skies are always clear, the sea is always gorgeous, and the place is just so homey…
HI Cynthia,
Thanks for the giveaway. I’m a big fan of romantic suspense books and I’m looking forward to reading Deadly Fear. I think the other posters are right on that the covers for the books are pretty awesome.
My favorite summer memories are from childhood hanging out at my family’s beach house and playing badminton or climbing the clay hills/dunes with all my cousins. Then, having bond fires & ghost stories on the beach at night. Have a Very Happy 4th of July.
Fabulous covers! Very eye-catching. Along with your great storytelling, these books are going to be major sellers.
One of my favorite memories is water fights. My mother was a widow with 5 kids. My older brother was supposed to watch us while she worked, but I can remember him bringing the hose into the kitchen to soak us, with the neighbor kids getting in the act. LOL I can’t remember who wiped up afterward, but it wasn’t me. I don’t think my mother ever knew.
I got to read the ARC of this book and all I can tell you is it is WONDERFUL! I could not put it down and read it in one day. I can’t wait for the next two to come out. I am just bummed that they don’t come out until next year. Oh well, I guess something to look forward to.
Hmm, Summer is not my favorite month, but a favorite memory would have to be last year on the Fourth of July when we bought some Fireworks and my kids friends (from across the street) and my Out-laws came over and we set them off and everyone oohed and aahed. The funniest part was the kids chasing to find where the bottle rockets had landed, by sound.
Your books look fabulous! Can’t wait for Deadly Fear’s release!
I can’t wait to read this series. The covers are beautiful. One of my favorite summer memories is when my cousins come up from Florida ever summer for a week. They come in two weeks. I am so excited.
Beautiful covers!!!! I can’t wait to read them!
My favorite summer memory was when my older sister and I went to up Tennessee for a month to visit our aunt and cousin. It was our first trip of just the two of us (without our parents and other siblings, I mean) and it was just so much fun.
Ooh – what an exciting post. A Cynthia Eden reading fest! 😀 Am sooo excited about your Deadly series and great to see that #2 & #3 wil be coming out in consecutive months.
Summer memories? Holidays to the seaside, exploring the rock pools, fishing for crabs, wearing flip flops!
beautiful covers!
we are going to be celebrating my daughter’s birthday tomorrow she is a fourth of july baby fire works just for her
My My My…do those cover say hot and steamy or what? I can hardly wait!
My favorite summer stories are family 4th of July’s! Since I am out in the country of Texas we set off our own fireworks along with all the other neighbors in our neighborhood. But before dark we hae a big family get together and eat sweet watermelon and swim for hours. Then afterdark we get to see the wonder on the kids faces as the sky lights up with the fireworks and they get to spin the sparklers round and round!
Hope you have a great holiday weekend!
Thanks! Maria
One of my fav summer memories was visiting my grandparents… my grandmother was the best person I ever had the pleasure of knowing and she always made me happy! Enjoy the weekend all, be safe! 😀

Happy pre-Fourth, Cynthia. You’ve gone mad with all this giveaway business – and I love it!
Some of my best summer memories include: warm afternoons sitting on the steps trying to finish my ice cream drumstick before it melts all over my hands and the all-out BBQs with family and friends. Good times!
BTW, covers look great. Thanks for sharing.
Book sounds great! My favorite summer memories usually involve eating boiled peanuts, drinking sweet tea and gossiping with family.
My favorite Summer memory is all of them 🙂 Nothing like getting to spend time with family!
And the covers–gah–amazing.
Favorite summer memory goes way back to when I was a girl. We have terribly hot summers in St. Louis, and we had no air conditioning when I was a kid. At least twice every summer, my day would take a day off of work, and he would take me and mom to one of the neatest attractions in town (gone now, in favor of a superhighway, they call it progress). It was a series of natural underground caverns-right here in the city-and there were tours. It was a terrific way to stay cool. We toured the caverns, then he took mom and me to a nice restaurant (usually Howard Johnson’s but to a nine or ten year old, that was a nice restaurant) and we would stop for ice cream on the way home.
My favorite memory is from when I was a kid living on the farm. As planting season progressed Dad would be super busy and would get home from the fields later and later at night. I remember waking up every night he came home and we’d always have a glass of chocolate milk and watch some tv while he asked about my day. It was a nice just us time amongst the craziness of the season.
First things first: those are some gorgeous covers! I love when series have a distinctive look.
One of my favorite childhood memories involves one very specific pool.
Every summer my mother would put together one of those pools that are basically a circular metal frame with a rubber/plastic cover that keeps the water in, about three feet deep and say, fifteen feet across? For about six weeks, the five of us (I’m the youngest) would soak and swim, for hours at a time. I realize now how small it really was but at the time that pool was just perfect–the perfect backdrop for water battles, children-made waves, learning to float on one’s back and playing pranks on each other (who said pulling someone under by the ankle is not funny?).
I learned not to fear the water in that pool, and one of my brothers proudly displayed his first waterproof model scale sail boat in it–so many memories, so many years.
I’d say from the time I was four until I was 12, we spent two weeks every summer at a cabin by a beautiful lake. Have fond memories of learning to fish, to waterski, nights at the lodge playing bingo, bbq’s and Saturday nights at the local county fair.
My birthday is in the summer so my favorite summer memory I have is when my brother and I had our birthday party at this lake. We had a huge cake and our family was and friends were there. It was so much fun and it’s one of my favorite memories period.
There is not one particular summer I enjoyed; I enjoyed them all as a child. No responsibilities, no jobs, a few chores, and FUN, FUN, FUN.
Those carefree days are gone….
I agree, those covers look great! 😀 and so hot 😉
MY favourite summer memory: it was in my university years, the parents of my best friend went on holiday and I moved in for the week, we had so much fun: drove into the city at night, went to play billiard, sit by the lake late at night and talk through our dreams and plans, and of course threw some unforgettable parties 😀 That summer was a summer of freedom and I still remember those days fondly. We had so much fun 🙂
Thank you for this great giveaway and congrats on the very fast approaching release of Deadly Fear! (I love those sunlit trees!)
Have a great weekend 🙂

Aside from eating 5+ pounds of watermelon by myself, I would say watching the various fireworks displays near my neighborhood from the roof of my apartment building when I was young. From the rooftop, I could see the official one, put on by the city, over the river, the ones over the local police stations (trying to use up all the illegal fireworks they had confiscated), and (rumor had it) the one by some gangs. In any case it was quite a thrill to be watching all that color in the warm night sky.
For Labor Day, my family would go to the shore and rent a little boat. My dad and we kids (with the family dog) would fish or play and my mother would barbecue. When the food was all gone, we’d pack up and go home. Fun times.
Lovely covers! My favorite summer memories involve going to the river with my family, when I was a child.
I love the covers too. They really stand out. Happy 4th of July everyone.
Oooh love the covers! Can’t wait till they’re all out and in my hands *my precious*
Fave summer memory – The year I was in 7th Gr. and I spent everyday out at the pool at the closeby Tennis Club. I mean literally…that’s all I did…got up…had brekkie and then out playing in the water till the end of day. It was such a carefree time in my life. We even had our Mum bring lunch out there so that my bro & I could chill by the pool while noshing on food. We were basically spoiled brats. Still smile when I think of it.
Great titles and even greater covers, can’t wait to get them.
When I was about 12 I think my friends and I got about a hundred of those tiny water balloons and we had huge water balloon fight. It go so serious too, with everyone getting all strategic and making sneak attacks. It was so fun.
My favorite summer memories are of the fireworks displays on the 4th. Even now, I still love fireworks, there’s just something about them that gets me every time.
My favorite summer memory? Hmmm this is gonna sound gross now…but at the time it was so much fun. When I was about 10 they were builing a new allotment behind my house. The process had them digging a road inbetween my house and the neighbors. While they were doing this we had a HUGE rainstorm for several days. The road they were digging became full of water. Had to be at least a foot or 2 deep. All the neighborhood kids were out there playing in the mud. It was a BLAST, we were all caked in mud. Looking back I think it was so gross and good grief all the germs that had to be floating around. Didn’t matter then……most fun I can remember having!
Hope you have a great holiday Cynthia! Thanks for the opportunity to win!!
Cynthia, The cover fairies sure are on your side. Love the covers for your next 2 books in the Deadly series.
I just got back from a great mini vacation in San Diego. I had a blast just enjoying the ocean, we watching the Naval ships come and go and went to the fabulous SD Zoo. To top off a wonderful few days, I was approved for and scheduled my gastric bypass surgery and learned I won Shadow of the Vampire by Meagan Hatfield right here on your fabulous blog. All in all, a great week.
Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July.
