Hi, everyone! (Happy late Canada day to my Canadian friends! And happy 4th to those in the U.S.!)
For this holiday weekend, I thought I would just offer you a weekend of winning. What are the prizes?
Well, one person will win an early copy of DEADLY FEAR.
Blurb:
TWO BRILLIANT AGENTS
FBI Special Agent Monica Davenport has made a career out of profiling serial killers. But getting inside the twisted minds of the cruel and the sadistic has taken its toll: She’s walled herself off from the world. Yet Monica can’t ignore fellow agent Luke Dante, the only man who ever broke through her defenses.
ONE DREAM TEAM
Luke has the unique ability to put victims at ease…professionally, he and Monica made a perfect team. Now they’re reunited to catch a murderer who uses his victims’ deepest, darkest fears for sport – but their investigative skills aren’t enough. Luke and Monica will have to face the secrets from their past, the ones that terrify them the most, if they are to have a future together.
But can they catch a killer whose weapon is…DEADLY FEAR?

DEADLY FEAR is my first romantic suspense, and it will release on 7/27/10–not far away! But, one winner will get the book sooner than that.
But wait…there’s more. I will also pick one commenter to receive a “surprise” romantic suspense package. What’s in that package? A few of my favorite romantic suspense books.
How do you win? Easy–it’s summer time. Tell me about your favorite summer memory. I am going to let this contest run through the holiday weekend, and then I will pick my 2 winners (I’ll pick randomly).
But wait…because, yes, there’s more.
If you would like to win a copy of I’LL BE SLAYING YOU, then head over to visit the Southern Sizzlers. I’m giving away a copy over there today.
And, wait!!! One more thing…
I am VERY excited about the release of DEADLY FEAR. I hope readers enjoy my dark, sexy suspense story. I hope everyone enjoys the world I’ve created with my FBI agents. I hope they enjoy the book so much that they can’t wait to read the second book in the series. What’s the second book? Well it’s…
DEADLY HEAT will be the second book in my Deadly series, and it will be released in February of 2011. Then, in March of 2011, DEADLY LIES will be available. And, yes, I’ve got that cover, too!
I’ll post the blurbs next week (just want to check with my editor first). Let me just that I really love these covers. Love them!! Thank you to my editor, Alex, and to the great art department at GCP!

great cover art! I love romantic suspense – it is my favorite genre. What’s not to like about a hot fbi guy?
Favorite summer memories – going to the lake as a kid, eating watermelon outside at the picnic table, water skiing, running full speed into the water for the first swim of the summer.
WOW! Those covers are fantastic! I can’t wait to read them all. One of my favorite summer memories was going to my friends cabin with her family about twice a month. We would go water skiing out on the lake, have camp fires with Smores, go hiking all of the fun summer thing to do. We had such a great time. Of course there are many more memories, but obviously I can’t name them all. Thanks for making me think of these things and remember what A great time I had growing up. Happy 4th everyone!
Took a great vacation to Florida this summer and stayed in a condo on the ocean!
I have been sooo looking forward to this new series! I’ve been keeping my eye on the covers on your website. Those covers are HOT!
My favorite memories of summer is when I was in my teens and every year we would have our family reunions at the lake we always went to. We would go boating and swimming with all our cousins, most are still in WI and I miss them very much now that I am down here in TX.
Happy 4th!
Love those covers. I can’t wait until they come out. I am really looking forward to reading them. 🙂 Love your books. Congrats on the latest releases. 🙂
I know they say you should never judge a book by its cover but YUM!!! I do it all the time.
Gathering together with all big families…that’s priceless for me 🙂
And All the covers are Hot ! love them !
Ooh, those are great covers, Cynthia! As for a favorite summer memory, we kids used to hang out at the nearby park for hours on end, heading home before dinner. We happily signed up for everything from trampoline to tennis lessons, and threw in some arts and crafts in between 🙂 Ah, those lovely long days!
My favorite summer memory is watching fireworks with friends during the Symphony of Fire event on English Bay Beach in Vancouver with friends. We grabbed a spot near the shoreline on the sand in line with the barge where the fireworks are placed and waited out the hours until darkness set by playing cards, eating and talking.
I am in love with these covers. Very sexy!! My favorite summer memory is really just anytime spent with my family. Weather it be at the beach or at home in the air!!
I went down with a migraine yesterday so wasn’t able to keep up with the blog. We’re having a heatwave here and it’s messing up my head…phew!!!
Anyways, I think your covers for this series are very eye-catching and I want to read them all!!
My summer memories are of my family all leaving the city for the beach. My grandparents lived in a cottage very close to the beach and we spent almost all our summer holidays there…fantastic!!

My favorite Summer memories are of spending time with my grandparents, working in the garden, eating lots of fresh veggies, “putting up” beautiful food and delicious preserves and jellies, all made by my “Gran”–the best cook ever! We also grew all kinds of lovely flowers, and my Gran and I would take nature walks. She knew the name of just about every plant and flower we saw along the way. One day, she found a little thick-leafed dark green plant, and she asked me to smell the leaves. It was Teaberry–just like Teaberry gum! I love that smell, and the gum is pretty good, too : )
Happy holidays! My favorite summer memories are with my family. In 2008 and 2009 we went to Disney World. I am still trying to convince husband to go again 🙂
My favorite summer memory is rollerblading (or rather, attempting to rollerblade) with friends in Central Park. It was a fun, simple & exciting time.
Favorite summer memories would have to be our yearly treks to the beach. There is nothing like a family vacation on the beach 🙂
Great covers, Cynthia. When I was a young kid into my teens, my grandmother rented a cabin at a lake for the summer every year. We had the best times and made lifelong friends who also rented every year. Some weekends it’d be a few, others so many of us in a small place, with people sleeping on the porch, on lawn chairs in the yard, lol.
The cover gods love you, Cynthia! Gorgeous.
My fave summer memory is sitting at Crescent Beach here in Vancouver with my hubby and two little guys. They were only 1 and 3 at the time, and we’d had a picnic on the sand and then played with the pails and shovels we’d brought. We’d just given them an ice cream cone each, and they fell asleep on our laps with their sticky little faces resting on our shoulders. There’s nothing better than cuddling your sleeping child after a long day, and I remember savoring the peace of the moment. The sunset was spectacular, and the breeze was warm. We could hear crickets singing in the tall grass lining the beach. Heaven!
