Donna Grant Has Some Magic For You… Back to Blog
Update: Donna’s prize winner (lucky lady!) is…Diane Sallan. Congrats, Diane! I will send your contact information to Donna.
I’m so pleased to have Donna Grant as my first guest author today. Not only is Donna one fabulous writer, but she’s a very special lady, too. I love her stories–can’t read them fast enough! Donna, thanks so much for joining me today!
Congratulations to Cynthia on her newest release! And thanks, Cynthia, for inviting me over to celebrate. It’s double the fun for me because I also have a release today – Echoes of Magic, the second book in my Sisters of Magic trilogy.
Whereas Cynthia loves the horror stuff, I’ve always been drawn to the historical and the paranormal/fantasy. You can’t imagine how I rejoiced when Lord of the Rings came to theatres. 🙂
There’s just something about a man who can fight with a sword. It’s dangerous yes, but also so compelling to me as an author and a reader. Knights were supposed to be the most chivalrous of men. The ones who would also be there to help those in need.
So, it was no wonder my heroes in the Sisters of Magic trilogy are none other than knights. In Echoes of Magic, we have Grayson. He’s been acting as a commander to his friend and lord, Drogan, but in fact, Grayson is a lord himself.
He’s been hiding from his past, but there comes a point in every man’s life where he has to face that past. That’s exactly what Grayson does. He never expects to come face to face with the man responsible for ruining his life, or to find a woman who can heal more than wounds suffered in battle.
Adrianna is part of a dying race of witches. She knows as soon as she sees Grayon that he’s different, that he’ll change her life forever. Is she willing to test Fate to discover if she can beat the curse placed on witches?
Grayson and Adrianna must endure many trials, and its only with each other that they can truly face – and win – them all. 🙂
Here’s the blurb and cover for ECHOES OF MAGIC!
Hiding a secret so awful that his only hope for survival is to remain hidden, Grayson has lived most of his life pretending to be someone he isn’t. After years serving as a commander to his lord and friend, Grayson can no longer hold back the past. He leaves in search of answers only to find evil awaits him. Until he discovers an achingly beautiful woman who stirs his deepest passions and all-consuming need.
Adrianna knows what her future holds for her as a witch – loneliness and heartache. She has accepted that. Until she discovers Grayson near death in the forest. Saving him is her only choice, and even as she falls deeper into the attraction surrounding them, can her magic be enough to stop Fate or the evil that awaits them.

I love PNR its really my all time favorite, although its not the only one I read.
Your series sounds great. Looking forward to checking it out.
It depends on the writing actually. I normally prefer historical light romance but have read and loved steam punk, paranormal and contemporary…..
Fav romance genre… that is hard… when I first started reading it was historicals… now it all depends on my mood at the time…
Right now it’s romantic suspense but i also love alot of other genre’s paranormal, contemporary, historical and a few in between.
I do love Medievals. In fact right now I have ‘Knights of Mayhem’ on – it’s on the National Geographic Channel & is about current day jousters.
I like Paranormal romance the best but I like reading other genre’s too! 🙂
Romance, any kind really preferably Paranormal or Suspense right now. As long as it pulls me in, I’m hooked!
I used to say Historical was my favorite, but right now I can’t get enough Paranormal and I am enjoying discovering all the new authors that I haven’t read before.
i love all genre except romance suspense ;(
but the most i love is HR, paranormal, ya, fantasy and contemporary romance
donna grant’s book is so great, love to win it 😉
I love a good paranormal, especially with vampires or werewolves. A good romantic suspense with a military hero or swat type guy or hot cop. And a good historical with a scottish laird in his plaid or medieval knight on a horse. So many other great book types out there but those are my favorites
Hi Donna! I LOVE your hair!!! Gorgeous!! I know I am going to love this trilogy! Let’s see if romantic.istorical.paranorm.comic.suspense were a genre then that would be my favorite. I love them all so I do not tire of one genre. Thank you for the offer
I love paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I like reading books that I can escape into to.
My favorite genre is romantic suspense although it definitely depends on my mood.
Paranormal romance is my favorite.
Hi Donna, That’s easy. I love Paranormals, and Historicals and Highland warriors. Put all three together and I’m a very happy camper. Of course I’ll take any of the above alone too…
The very first romance books I read were historicals, so they have a special place in my heart…but I’ve also fallen in love with paranormal books. Whenever I can find a combination of the two, I get the best of both worlds. I am already a dedicated fan of your work and look foward to more.
My favorite? Paranormal, but I also read romantic suspense, historical and fantasy.
I love them all! From historical on down to Paranormal =D
As long as a book holds my interest I’ll read it
don’t enter me in this one as I already have the book (excellent by the way) as for genre I love paranormal and historicals the most. 🙂
My favorite romance genre is a tie between erotic and paranormal even better when it’s a combination of the two. 😉
My favorite are the suspense or contemporary
My favorite genre is paranormal romance. I’m ecstatic that’s it’s so popular right now.
Paranormal-Historical definately! I am already a huge fan of the Dark Sword series (Fallon and Lucan were my favorite) and can’t wait to read Sisters of Magic Trilogy.
Hope to win one to get me started!
Paranormal romance has been my favorite for awhile now. I can’t seem to get enough of it. I’m always discovering a ‘new author’ and that’s just the best to me. I will throw in a week or two of reading erotica to mix it up. I have a pretty open mind and I’ve read all sorts of things over the yrs. I’m a 2 sometimes 3 book a week reader, depending on the size of course.
I read in all genres but paranormal has always been my top fav. I like to mix it up and go between paranormal to UF, to historical, YA, Romantic Suspense, Contemp. to Sci-Fi and I’ll throw in some Dean Koontz once in a while 🙂
