Sammael isn’t a guardian. Back to Blog
Update: The winner of the $20 Barnes & Noble gift card is…May!
Guardian angels are the good angels. They are the ones who watch over us. They protect us.
Well, the hero of my new book, ANGEL BETRAYED, definitely doesn’t belong in the “guardian” category. Sammael (Sam) is an angel of death. With one touch, he kills. He’s used to doing what he wants, when he wants. He’s strong, he’s fierce, and he is definitely my favorite kind of hero.
I don’t know why I like the bad boy heroes so much, but I have to confess…they are an absolute blast to write. The bad boys like Sam walk on the edge. They make their own rules. And they don’t take crap from anyone.
Oh, bad boys…you are so much fun.
But the best part of writing a bad boy hero? Redemption. And Sam, despite his powers and his wicked skills…he is a hero in need of redemption. Sam was cast out of heaven, his wings burned away, and he was sentenced to live out his days on earth. Now, other angels fear Sam. No one gets close to him. And Sam thinks that is the way he wants his days and nights to be…until he meets my heroine.
The path to redemption isn’t easy. But to prove that man with a good heart lives within a bad boy’s body, that journey is necessary.
I hope that you enjoy Sam’s journey. It sure is a bit of a bumpy ride!
Now…want to win a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card? Then tell me…who is your all-time favorite hero? Your hero can be from a book, from a movie, from real-life. Just tell me your fave and you will be entered in the giveaway! The winner will be randomly selected.

I can’t wait to read this book like crazy!!
My favorite hero is– yes, I’m cheesy and proud– Mr. Darcy 🙂
My absolute favorite hero is Tris from Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth. She’s very strong and fights against all odds. Fantastic books!
My favorite real time hero is my dad 🙂 I know its dorky but its because of my dad that I am who I am today 🙂
I’m a comics fan and Batman is definitely one of my favorite heroes.
Honestly it’s the hero that I’m currently reading about. That and everyday people that do the best that they can.
Hi Cynthia!
My favorite hero consists of all US Armed Forces, their sacrifices for our freedom is amazing to me.
Thanks for having me!
This is a most difficult question. To come up with one is almot impossible. I loved Sammael. I could put him right in there in fav hero status. I always go back to Johnn Duane Reed from Cindy Gerard’s Black ops series. Big sexy guy ends up with a short busty polish chick. Always reminds me of me and my hubby minus the books of course. I am a polish chick and short and he is tall and for me sexy. lol
Happy Release day Cynthia!!!
Lisa B
My favorite would be any military characters I read 🙂
Happy Book Birthday!
Tough question, there are so many wonderful heroes and I am finding more and more every few days. Anne Stuart has some wonderful strong heroes in her Ice series. They are stubborn, hard but oh so protective.
My favorite hero is Acheron in Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series.
Let’s see I’m going to pick a book hero. I think Zsadist from BDB is my favorite.
From book, its Roarke from In-Death series by J.D.Robb. As for my real-life, that’s my Mom. Ehm, is it hero must be men? I always thinks my Mom is my hero, because she will do everything to make sure her children will live well.
Roarke from In Death series is my favorite hero. As for real life, its my Dad =)
Hands down Roarke from the In Death series is my favorite hero. I absolutely adore him. In real life my favorite hero is my brother because he is paraplegic from a motorcycle accident and has built an amazing construction business and has made a wonderful success of his life even with his disability.
My all time favorite hero is Nathan Fillion/Mal from the Firefly Series. He was funny, real, protective, loyal and stretched those he loved.
Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice
My all time favourite hero would be Bones in the Night Huntress books! Absolutely love him and Cat together 🙂
There are so many fabulous book heroes out there that I really can’t choose. I love that no matter what my mood is, I can find the perfect one.
While there are many fabulous storybook heroes (and YES, I love redemption stories, Cynthia!!), my favorite hero is DH–he’s an amazing dad and he’s a generous, considerate husband 🙂
Zsadist from the BDB. A redemption story but I love him. Love him even more if you read the novella, you see how everything carries on and affects him even with redemption. He is my favorite, someone says hero and I think of him
Prince charming whoo

Congrats on your new release Cynthia and thank you for the release party, sadly I missed the twitter one as I was at work 🙂
The only person whom I can think of as my hero is my Mother.
She’s strong & tough but also loving, caring and very kind. She’s always there for me when I need her and will always help me to the best of her ability.
my hero is mt daughter Rachel, she went thru an extremely tough health issue and is now my guardian angel.
Wow that is really hard to say. I don’t have a special favorite hero, just love all tortured heroes who find the right person to heal them.
My favorite hero is Raphael from D.B Reynolds Vampires in America series. He is a confident alpha to the core because he lets his mate fight in dangerous situations yet is still fiercly protective.
