Booking It

Posted in Romance on December 1st, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

Prepare yourself. This post–she’s gonna be long.  Because I have a lot of books to talk about today!!

But first, don’t forget the auction for Jo Leigh!

Now, my Booking It info for today:  If you are looking for a hot, action-packed read–Lauren Dane has one for you.  Lauren Dane’s NY debut, UNDERCOVER (OMG–have you seen this gorgeous cover?!?) releases on Tuesday.  Like all of Lauren’s stories that I’ve read, I loved it.  Lauren has a true talent for creating characters that crackle with powerful emotions–emotions that grab you and won’t let go.

What?  Oh, you want the blurb for this one?  But, of course…

On the battleground or in the bedroom, one woman and two men fight for dominance in a bold, new, and excitingly different direction in erotica…

As a lieutenant of the Federation military, Sera Ayers is accustomed to giving orders, not taking them. Now she must obey the one man she can’t stand—and can’t stop thinking about.

With the enemy Imperialists gaining ground, a covert team is assembled by Ash Walker. Ten years before, Sera had lovingly submitted to Ash’s dominance in the bedroom. But when he was forced into a political marriage, she refused to play mistress. His marriage now over, Ash wants Sera on his team—and back in his bed.

The third team member, Brandt Pela, has an elegance to match Ash’s savage sexuality. And when their undercover plan requires Sera to pose as Brandt’s lover, it ignites a passion among the three of them more dangerous than their mission.

Megan Hart has a Spice Brief out–LAYOVER.  Have you ever read Megan’s work? Fantastic. Emotional and sexy and deep.  Her characters are strong, her stories are intense. Fabulous.  Here’s the sexy cover of LAYOVER:

Another one of my Bradford sisters is also celebrating her NY debut this week.  Beth Kery‘s book, WICKED BURN, also releases on Tuesday. (Talk about a busy release week!)… Congrats, Beth! I hope you celebrate in style!

Description of WICKED BURN:

He wanted all of her…

Vic Savian knows what he wants when he sees it. And what he wants is his sexy neighbor, Niall Chandler. So when he sees her in the hallway of their building being harassed by an aggressive suitor, Vic makes his move—and finds himself greatly rewarded…

And did she ever let him have it…

Sleeping with her gorgeous neighbor—when she didn’t even know his last name—was the craziest thing Niall’s ever done. Now, she can’t seem to get enough of Vic—or the uninhibited passion he stirs in her. Suddenly, with his help, she’s opening to sensual pleasures she’s never known before. But when Niall’s past comes back to haunt her, will she and Vic let themselves venture beyond the bedroom and explore the possibility of love that’s in their hearts?

And how would you like a free book? Yep, I said free. Zoe Winters has a free ebook up on her site. The novella, Kept, is a paranormal romance. Here’s the blurbage:

Greta is a werecat whose tribe plans to sacrifice her during the next full moon. Her only hope for survival is Dayne, a sorcerer who once massacred most of the tribe. What’s that thing they say about the enemy of your enemy?

I read this story last week. I loved the premise–and Zoe sure has one great imagination.  I’d like to read more about this world (hint, hint, Zoe).  Shifters are some of my favorite characters, and I really enjoyed the way Zoe handled her heroine.  And the hero…what can I say?  I do so like a hero with a bit of the bad in him.  Yeah, I married a nice guy, but in my fiction, I like ’em bad.  Bravo, Zoe!

So many books, not enough time.

Jo Leigh Auction

Posted in Romance on November 29th, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

The romance community is banding together to support one of our own–author Jo Leigh lost her husband to cancer earlier this year and is being swamped with medical bills (writers are generally self-employed and often do not have medical insurance). In an effort to help Jo Leigh pay off some of these bills, an online auction is being held. And this auction…well, it’s got some terrific gifts.  Critiques from editors, authors, and agents. Books–lots of books.

So many gifts–especially if you’ve got writers on your Christmas list. (These gifts would be perfect for ’em!)

I’m donating autographed copies of HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT, MIDNIGHT SINS, WHEN HE WAS BAD, and EVERLASTING BAD BOYS to the auction.  I’ve also offered a partial critique of a manuscript (the first 60 pages).  Check out the auction–I think you’ll be surprised  by the great assortment of items.

Update:  If you want to place a bid on an item, follow this ebay link.  Thanks! More items will be added on this ebay link very soon.

Wow–I feel like I am moving in super slow time this morning.  I’ll blame that on the turkey.  🙂  I haven’t gone out and braved the Black Friday shopping yet, but I will soon!

Now, if you’d like to get a nice little prize/present without leaving the comfort of your home, head over the the Love Romances and More blog–I’ve been interviewed there and one commenter will win her/his choice:  either an autographed copy of my new release MIDNIGHT SINS or any autographed book from my backlist.

Enjoy your Black Friday!

Adventures in Blogging…the saga continues

Posted in Romance on November 26th, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

Hi, everyone!  I know a lot of you are hitting the roads (or skies) today as you head home for Thanksgiving. I hope you stay safe and that you get to eat as much turkey as you’d like.  🙂

I’m continuing my adventures in blogging today.  First up, I’m over at Riding With the Top Down.  I’m talking about why I’m thankful for romance books. Leave a comment and you could win an autographed copy of MIDNIGHT SINS. (What?  You haven’t bought your copy yet? Well, okay–here’s your chance to get it for free–or to get one for a friend. Cause you know what…books make such awesome Christmas presents.)

I’m also blogging at The Bradford Bunch and Brava Authors.  Today turned into one of those “perfect storm” blogging dates for me.  My scheduled Bradford and Brava days collided and I got to share the blog love.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
