Reviews and Chat Time

Posted in Romance on December 18th, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

Christmas is a week away, and my son wore shorts yesterday. Shorts! Come on–where’s the cold weather? The hint of snow? Sigh.

I’ve recevied some early Christmas presents–in the form of new reviews for MIDNIGHT SINS. I wanted to share some snippets with you (ah, sharing the Christmas joy):

Victoria of  TwoLips Reviews said, “Should have known to budget my time more wisely because once I started Midnight Sins, I couldn’t stop reading it until the last page!  I lost a lot of sleep that night, but Cynthia Eden’s latest paranormal novel was o, so worth it!  Fall into the spell Ms. Eden weaves, dear reader, and become immersed in the supernatural beings known as the Other.”

Ann of Romance Junkies gave the book a Blue Ribbon rating of 4 and noted, “MIDNIGHT SINS is a welcome addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next relationship to unfold because I have a feeling that it will be an explosive ride.”

And Rista of The Romance Readers Connection said, “This is a truly hot book! Intrigue, compelling chemistry between the main characters, and a terrific writing style makes this story a joy to read.”

Thank you, Victoria, Ann, and Rista!

Now if these reviews have got you thinking you need to pick up a copy of MIDNIGHT SINS, do go with that feeling.  🙂

And there is a Red Sage Chat tonight at Writerspace.  Here’s the info:

Novel Thoughts

Posted in Romance on December 17th, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

I’m guest blogging over at Novel Thoughts today. Talking about monsters (Hey, what else?  You know I love them!) and I’m giving away an autographed copy of MIDNIGHT SINS. If you haven’t bought your copy yet (What? This is an awesome Christmas gift!) then you could win an autographed one today.

A week until Christmas Eve…am I the only one starting to panic?

A few things…

Posted in Romance on December 16th, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

I wanted to send out a big congrats to my friend Edie Ramer–Edie has advanced to the second round in the American Title V Contest with her story, DEAD PEOPLE. (Yay, Edie!) Voting for the second round is open now, so please go over and vote!

Today I’m blogging about women with bite over at the Red Sage Revealed blog.  The heroine in “Blood Hunt” (my novella in SECRETS, VOLUME 25: WICKED DELIGHTS) is a woman with definite bite, and she’s inspired me to write more vamp tales.

I’m still working on the revising/polishing of my latest manuscript.  End date is still scheduled for Friday, and I’ll cross the mid-point mark probably in the next fifteen minutes.

I’m also working on a trailer for IMMORTAL DANGER.  🙂  Hopefully, that will be up before Christmas.

I’ll post a new writing article on my site, probably this afternoon, but maybe tomorrow morning.  I’ll put a note on the blog when it’s up and running. (It’s an article that I wrote for my local RWA newsletter, but it’s one I wanted to share here because it is about how to stay focused and meet your writing goals for the new year.)

Have a great day!

Cool contest

Posted in Romance on December 15th, 2008 by Cynthia Eden

Have I mentioned how much I loved Romancing the Stone? I mean, I must have said, at least once or twice (or a good twenty times) that, back in the day, I wanted to be Joan Wilder.

My love of Romancing the Stone is just one of the many reasons that I am looking forward to reading Elisabeth Naughton‘s upcoming release, STOLEN FURY.

And, hey, look–Elisabeth is running a cool contest in conjunction with her release:
