Wed or Dead? Time to HOWL FOR IT! Back to Blog
Update: The winner of the Amazon.com gift card is…Shonna! Congrats! I will email you with your prize info. 😉
In less than a week (on August 28th!), my anthology with the awesome Shelly Laurenston will release! HOWL FOR IT will be in the wild! So, from now until that date, I’ll be posting giveaways here on the blog (and doing some on Twitter and Facebook). And, on the actual release date (again, we’re looking at August 28th! Woot!), I’ll be posting giveaways throughout the day then. I did an informal survey a while back, and I asked readers if they would prefer for me to have one big release day party or if they would prefer for me to split the giveaways up more over time. The responses I got were in favor of both options…so I decided to do both this time. 😉 I’ll still have a release day party, but I’ll also offer giveaways as we lead up to the release, too.
For today’s giveaway? I’ve got a $20 Amazon.com gift certificate up for grabs. Want to win? Then you’re gonna have to talk werewolves with me.
The hero of my story (WED OR DEAD) is a werewolf. I have to confess…I just love werewolves. Or rather, I love the idea of them. (If I met a real werewolf, I would–of course–freak out.) But…in fiction, werewolves are powerful. They’re savage. They have a wild sensuality. And they’re incredibly loyal and protective. They’re a combination of men and beasts. Primal instincts and human intellect. A great combination. And I love werewolves for all of these reasons. Now, sure, the change from man to beast may not be the sexiest thing ever, but it’s the man inside the beast that gets me.
What gets you? What do you like (or not like) about werewolves? Tell me, and you’ll be entered in my giveaway. I will leave this giveaway open until noon (Central time) tomorrow. Then I will randomly pick the winner.
And, in case you haven’t read the blurb yet for HOWL FOR IT, here it is…
WED OR DEAD – by Cynthia Eden
Gage Ryder knew his human bride had a wild side. But spending their honeymoon night on the run from hunters out to finish him and his pack is sure not the kind of fun he was looking forward to. No problem–Gage will do whatever it takes to lay bare Kayla’s secrets and find the truth. If he can keep from being captured by his own seductive game.
LIKE A WOLF WITH A BONE – by Shelly Laurenston
Quiet little Darla Lewis couldn’t be happier when the most-feared member of the South’s rowdiest pack kidnaps her. A girl gets real tired of being overprotected by her own shifter family, and there’s nothing like an oh-so-big bad wolf to start a pack feud, unleash her instincts–and have her surrender however and whenever she wants…
Update:Â I’m giving away a copy of HOWL FOR IT over at the Brava Blog.

Hi! 🙂 Well, I really have no idea since I haven’t read any werewolf books… but boy, sure do love that cover! 🙂
Lois
I´m a sucker for big, bad Alpha males, capable and knowing just how to sweep you of your feet *sigh* Love it!!
Looking forward to this book,
best wishes, Linda xo
I like their edginess, intensity and the wild aspect of their personalities.
I like werewolves are alphas. This means they are very protective and loyal to their loved ones.
I love that their strong, wild, sexy and protective. The only thing I’m not so sure about is all that hair. 😀
*giggling*
Wouldn’t we all?
The idea of someone that powerful and well, intense, focused on making me happy? That gets me every time.
Thanks for the giveaway!
It’s the protectiveness, strength, passion and mating for life all rolled into a hot sexy man, gotta love that!
I love werewolves, them being alphas is so hot and go after what they want, so sexy 🙂
I haven’t really read a lot of books with werewolves. Actually yours and Twilight have been the only ones. They are very passionate and protective. Those are good combinations to have. As far as what “gets” me? I would say the need to protect. I am a very independent woman, but will still go weak in the knees when my man is protecting me. 🙂
I love werewolves because they’re so fierce and strong, and their alpha tendencies are pretty smexy too.
I like werewolves because they’re alpha and dangerous.
Love these comments!! I’m writing a werewolf story right now, so seeing all the reasons why folks love werewolves is just making me super excited about this story. It’s all I can do to stop writing and focus on real-life for a few moments!
Thanks so much for the responses (and all the kind words about the cover and blurb!).
I love that when werewolves mate they mate for life. Plus they are very protective of what they consider theirs.
I love werewolves. They are alpha males, possessive, controlling, protective and hot Hot HOT. I can’t get enough of them.
What I love about werewolves is the internal balance of how strong but yet the sensitivity and loyalty they have all roll into one being. Let me just say I’m melting!!!
The can chzanfe , the are hot, in your books, gtreatmprixe
I love the werewolves in the stories if I met one and he was really like the big protective alpha that would do it. However I don’t tend to like the mooncycle thing that some do. The shifter thing works better they can be a wolf anytime. I like how a wolf’s mate comes first, they are cared for and taken care of.
I love werewolves. Who would not want a guy that could always keep your feet warm? Who is awesome in bed? Who has a ton of stamina? Sign me up….
I, too, love werewolves for pretty much the same reason that you do. I love how they are loyal and extremely protective, especially of their mates and pack. I also love the whole alpha male thing (even if they are beta, they still tend to be an alpha). I like the fact that their body temperature usually runs hotter so they can keep me warm on a cold night. 😉
Congrats on the upcoming release!
I love shifters and werewolves are my favorite – Love the cover and really love that you and Shelly are doing another anthology together. I can’t get enough stories from either of you.
Protective, passionate, animalistic, blazing hot sexy,…Yep, I love werewolves. I am so looking forward to this book!!!!!
I really like the protective nature of werewolves, especially when it comes to their mate 😉
Thanks so much for the contest!!
