My 6 year old granddaughter is a vampire. She loves vampires. We were discussing her being a vampire, when she told us that she wasn’t just a vampire. She is the queen of the vampires. Lol. So now we know. Thanks for the giveaway.

Happy Halloween! I’m a huge chocoholic so I love Snickers and Kitkat.
One of my fondest memories of Halloween as a kid was doing through my loot at the end of the night with my dad. We were punchy-level tired, and we’d found so many of those peanut butter taffy things (which I hate), we started calling them “crap”. When we found some with “Happy Halloween” printed in pretty script, we dubbed those “fancy crap”. I don’t remember laughing so hard at a joke my dad and I came up with together. Those were good times.

I love pumpkin crumb cake from Halloween all the way thru to Christmas…here’s the recipe!
Pumpkin Crumb Cake
Ingredients
•1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
•1 egg, beaten
•1/2 cup butter, melted
•1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
•3 eggs, beaten
•1/2 cup white sugar
•1/4 cup packed brown sugar
•1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
•1/2 cup white sugar
•3 tablespoons butter, softened
•1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray or grease one 9×13 inch pan.
2.Reserve 1 cup cake mix. In a large bowl, combine the remaining dry cake mix with 1 egg and 1/2 cup melted butter. Mix well, and then pat into prepared pan.
3.In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over crust.
4.In a small bowl, combine reserved 1 cup cake mix, 1/2 cup sugar, and 3 tablespoons softened butter. Crumble over pumpkin filling. Sprinkle nuts evenly over the top, if desired.
5.Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
Serve warm with whip cream on top

I think my favorite costume was after we came back from Okinawa. I had my kimono w/ all the trimmings, that was my costume that year. Loved it.
For Halloween my 3yr old son was a “Escaped Psycho Prisoner!” lol We got him a prisoner outfit and splattered blood on it. then we painted his face giving him a dirty look and added some blood to his face to like he was out hurting people after his escape. lol Anything to get and keep his freedom! His candy bag was the netted laundry bags that you use for delicates.
My other baby was a bee.

My favorite candies to get for Halloween are twix, kit kats, and starbursts. I hate candy corn and I refuse to hand those out.
My daughter was a bee this yr. Hard to get her into the costume since she wants to be a princess but all the princess costumes aren’t warm enough and it is always so cold here… She still had a lot of fun though. 🙂
I’m not too big on Halloween as, with my birthday so close to Guy Fawkes day, I tend to make more of the 5th November (especially as Halloween was never a big thing in UK when I was small).
I dressed up as an angel of darkness last year! Black wings black halo black sweater black pants black hooker boots black eye shadow the whole works! Everyone loved my look! After Halloween I took my wings and halo and made a wall hanging decoration out of it! They now hang on my bed room wall!
Had a great bunch of kidlets come by last night, and I so love the little one’s in their costumes. My favorite candy this year was Butterfinger candy bars. Usually not a big peanut butter fan, but something about them this year turned them into my latest favorite.

what a cute pumpkin! I think my favorite Halloween memory is of my sister at about age 7. She had a bat costume (hooded footie one piece with bat wings). She wore that thing til she was waaay too tall and it looked like capris on her. 2 years ago, my son was Batman (age 2 at the time) and he wore it for about 3 months straight. It reminded my family of my sister so much, we made it a daily facebook update-pix of my boy dressed in a too small, full of holes batman costume. I couldn’t even wash it after a while, hand wash in the sink only!
I hope I didn’t miss this!!! I love Halloween, actually a little more than I love Christmas lol My fav. thing to do is buy Halloween decorations and decorate the house. Every year when I pull out our halloween storage tubs, I love seeing my kids’s faces light up and listening to them talk about the different decorations as they place them around the house. For me, halloween is all about my kids and I held on to my oldest son’s costumes and it’s fun to think back to that time when he wore them when I break them out for my other son to wear. I always take a picture in the same pose so I can have the two sided by side. My fav. Halloween outfit was a black cat outfit my mom made for me when I was five. She held on to it and passed it down to my niece who then passed it down to my daughter and I plan to hang on to it to pass it on again 🙂
