NEVER CRY WOLF–It’s Party Time (Plus Gift Certificate!) Back to Blog
Update: The winner of the $15 Amazon.com gift certificate is…June M!
NEVER CRY WOLF is available today! It should be available on the shelves of your local store or shipping from your favorite online retailer.
For the rest of the day, it will be party time at the blog. Lots of great guest authors. Lots of great prizes. I hope you enjoy the posts–and I want to thank you for stopping by to help me celebrate. Thank you!!!
I love werewolves. Love them. They’re strong. They’re fierce. They’re more than a bit wild. Lucas Simone, my wolf shifter hero in NEVER CRY WOLF, is a guy that will never be fully controlled. He’s dangerous, he’s dark, and he’s not perfect Prince Charming material. But I think that’s okay.
I never really liked Prince Charming that much, anyway. I am definitely a big, bad wolf kind of girl. 🙂
For the first giveaway, I’ve got a $15 gift certificate to Amazon.com up for grabs. Want it? Then just tell me what type of hero you enjoy. Brave, strong, determined? Wild, reckless, alpha? All hero types are welcome! I’ll pick one random winner tomorrow at noon.
Be sure to check back at 7:00 a.m. (Central) for the next post & giveaway! Have a great day!

I like a hero, who is brave, strong, determined, loyal protective, and has a wicked sense of humor.
Love your hero description!
I like a hero who is strong, loyal, brave, passionate, and mysterious.
That “mysterious” part can be so much fun!
My favorite hero is usually alpha and intelligent.
I’ve always thought smart men were super sexy. 🙂
My favorite kind of hero is strong and protective. I love a good sense of humor, too, like Izzy from Brockmann’s Troubleshooters. I don’t know if this comment is too late to be entered in the prize drawing…
Not too late at all! I’m going to keep the comments open until tomorrow at noon-so you are perfectly on time. 🙂
I love a HERO who is fiercely protective of those he loves. Dark and Alpha all the way. Kind and sensitive to your needs.
Sexy as He**.But tender and compassionate with a great sense of humor. SO now you see why I can only find him in a book. lol lol Great release party Cynthia. Thanks for the opportunity to win. And big Congrats on this release. I love wolf shifters, a lot. 🙂

Thanks for the congrats, Carol!
Its no secret that I love me some Alpha’s…the meaner the better 🙂
Alphas are hot, Nikki. Just…hot.
The “Alpha” male is the dominant leader of the pack. They have qualities and strengths which make them “number one”! Along with all that greatness can come arrogance, a “my way is the only way” attitude, and a sometimes ornery personality. However, their fierce devotion to their loved ones, their loyalty and their innate honor all go together quite nicely to smooth the rough edges. I love big, grumbly, tough men who have even bigger hearts and an inner core of compassion. I also appreciate intelligence and humor, but kindness is the essential quality.
What a fabulous response, Virginia! Thank you!
My kind of hero…dark, mysterious and a challenge. One who does not conform to others and believes in his morals and values enough to feel confident of himself. One who loves unconditionally and puts family first. My hero is able to recognize true beauty beneath the skin.
“Recognize the true beauty beneath the skin”–sounds like a definite hero.
There are so many wonderful heroes, but what is absolutely essential for me is that he has a warm and generous heart and that he is loyal. Compassion, intelligence and humour all make him sexy 😀 And of course he has to be passionate too, love hot blooded heroes ;-p
Congrats on your new release Cynthia, wolf shifters are my favourite too! 😀

So glad wolf shifters are your favorite! And thank you!!
Wild, reckless, and uber ALPHA for me! Happy Release Day Cynthia!

Thank you, Jessica!
I love an alpha. Gotta have a sense of humor though. Love snark, 🙂
Snark can be so much fun.
I love a steadfast hero–anyone like Jamie Fraser. :O)
Steadfast guys always melt my heart.
My favorite of hero has a sense of humor, he’s protective and he can even be a bit of a geek.
LOL, I rather enjoy a geeky side, too.
I like a hero who is a strong, brave, protective alpha.
Excellent description, Crystal!
I love an alpha male. Strong, loyal and very protective. But he has a soft heart for the one he loves.
That soft side is so appealing!
I love a hero that is brave, strong, and of course wants to dominate 🙂 I would love for him to be muscley too..LOL
Muscles definitely help!
I’m a sucker for an alpha male! 🙂
Me, too. 🙂
I tend to favour more for beta than alpha… all those uber-alpha blokes make me want to slap them upside the head 😛
Hot nerd is the way to go (not unexpected from a scientist-in-training, haha). With a sense of humour.
Congrats on the release!
In real-life, I’d never be able to handle an alpha. Never. But in fiction, I like ’em. As long as they don’t get too crazy! 🙂 Though hot nerds are awesome (that’s what I have in real-life).
And thanks for the congrats!
I like the strong silent type hero – but he would need to be in touch with his emotional side. He would need to be intelligent, willing to listen to others and a generally good guy but have the backbone to stand up for what’s right and the muscle to back his convictions.
I am a long-time fan of the strong, silent type.
I love the alpha hero who is tough and strong but also loving and loyal to family.
Great hero description!
I like a hero who’s strong, independent, has a sense of humor, brave, intellegent, caring and all of the other quality of an alpha at the same time.
I love the hero who is a strong, intelligent, brave, take charge kind of guy with a sense of humor.
I like the broken hero. The one that has had major problems in the past and has to get past those. The suspicous one that you wonder is he really a good guy. Zsadist from the BDB is one of my favorites.
A brave, strong hero; one who doesn’t judge a book by it’s covers; one who gives you one chance. A hero who doesn’t mind admitting to some weaknesses.
My hero needs to have an inner strength and a great sense of humor, along with healthy doses of common sense, intelligence, and a strong, caring nature.
Congratulations on the release of Never Cry Wolf – enjoy the party!!

I like Alphas who are strong, have intergrity, and are loyal.
As strange as it sounds, I like a hero that you would NEVER think of being a hero. The Dark, Brooding, cold type of character that will make your blood hot and make you shiver all at the same time… Bad Boys are my weakness… Oh so evil but oh so hot 🙂
My fave is a strong Alpha male with a sense of humor, but is in touch with his sensitive side–I don’t ask for much 🙂

I love alpha bad boys leader of the pack ! I love werewolves one of my favorites. Congrats to you on

Jennifer’s description above sounds great and delicious! 😉 I have to join her team.
I so love the alpha male. I’m tiny and they are SO big and strong. Even though I’d never back down to one I like the feel of their strength around me. As you said somewhere they also have some little weakness and I think that’s their woman :).

Congrats and I love a good release party.
I love a strong-willed hero that can handle a strong-willed woman without missing a beat.
Congrats on your new release! Wishing you many sales 🙂
As for my hero, I like a blend of Alpha & Beta, strong, yet vulnerable, mysterious yet human.
Congrats on the release Cynthia!!! So excited for you 😀
I like all kinds of heroes. I like them strong, determined, alpha but also sweet and caring. The perfect hero is one who has all of it. One who is strong and protective, slightly alpha, but has a soft caring side as well.
I love all kinds of heroes, but I would go with an alpha. They wanna take care of you and they care about you.
I like all kinds of heroes but my favorite is Alpha
So many fantastic hero traits! Strong, protective, sexy…wish I saw guys like these more often!
Hi Cynthia! You know, I really like my hero’s to have a little bit of everything that you mentioned. I like them to be well rounded ( along with Hot! ) Congrats on the release day and I can’t wait to read it!
I love all type of heroes but if i had to chose one trait then I would definitely say alpha type.
My hero would be a guy who is strong physically and emotionally. He would have a dry sarcastic sense of humor, but not mean. He would enjoy quiet times with me. Actually, I have my hero, my husband. OOPS must go and get the carrot cake out of the oven.
Love you Cynthia and thanks to you and all the authors for the wonderful prizes….RAH RAH RAH…
I love a dark and tortured hero. A brave and protective Alpha. I want to watch him learn to love and be loved by the heroine. She can bring out the vulnerability and softness from his tough exterior.
That’s a tough one! I love a man who goes after what he wants without being arrogant, a man who is protective of what’s his and a man who’s good to kids. 🙂
Someone who is strong, loyal, caring, and brave!

My favorite hero type is someone strong but doesn’t shove it down the girl’s throat and make her feel like she can’t do anything. I love when they have sarcastic bent to their humor. I also like when they’re smart.
I love a hero who is strong, brave, and is willing to go the extra mile for the woman he loves. Someone who isn’t afraid to show or say what/how he feels
Can I say all of the above? it all really depends on what i’m inthe mood for but definitely strong and brave.
I love a hero thats strong, loyal, protective, and funny!

I’m pretty flexible. I like them strong, dark and handsome, the stright arrow, the wild bad boy, brooding, a kidder, the rich playboy with a work ethic, the guy who’s fought is way up from the streets as long as it fits the story.
Big, strong, not lazy and alpha tends to be the similarity in most.
I like lots of different types. Tend to lean towards the ones that area bit jaded and arrogant, alpha tendencies maybe?
