So…first up…

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤? It’s a biggie. Clocked in at over 91.000 words. Joel and Chloe had a story to tell, and they just weren’t stopping!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞? Romantic suspense. Yes, the book is releasing around Halloween, and it is set in my favorite supernatural city (New Orleans), but it is not a paranormal romance. It is a sexy and intense romantic suspense. The bad guy is a dangerous serial killer, and the hunt for him is ON.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞? Because tarot cards happen to slip into the story a few times. Consider them a bit of a calling card.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐥? He’s dark. Battered. Has a tortured past and doesn’t trust easily. He’s not on the best of paths, but then he meets Chloe. Some people can change your whole world. (He’s an alpha to the core, just so you know–and Joel will do anything to protect Chloe.)

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐥𝐨𝐞? Tough! She and Joel both have pasts they don’t want to share, but Chloe is a survivor. She is drawn to the darker aspects of life, and when it comes to killers, she knows how they think. She can get into the mind of a killer all too easily. Sometimes the darkness inside Chloe can scare her. She is good at figuring out what makes most people tick, but then she meets Joel…and he fascinates her.
