Kindle Book Giveaway Back to Blog
Update: Thanks for sharing your summer stories! 🙂 I randomly picked a winner, and that person is…Sapphyria. Congrats!
It’s summer–the perfect time to curl up with a great book…and it just so happens that I have a great book that I want to give away today!
Bella Andre‘s new book, THE LOOK OF LOVE, is out now. Here’s the blurb for you:
A successful photographer who travels the world and has his pick of beautiful women, Chase Sullivan thinks life is great just as it is – until he finds Chloe and her totaled car in a ditch on the side of the road in Napa Valley. She’s utterly lovely, both inside and out, and he’s soon willing to move mountains to love – and protect – her. But will she let him? Unfortunately, a wrecked car is not the worst thing to happen to Chloe that day. The bruise on her cheek can attest to that. She’s vowed never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Surely, the gorgeous guy who rescues her in the middle of a rain storm is too good to be true. Or is he? Because with every loving look Chase gives her – and every sinfully sweet caress – as the attraction between them sparks and sizzles, she can’t help but wonder if she’s met the only exception. Although Chase didn’t realize his life was going to change forever in an instant, amazingly, he isn’t the least bit interested in fighting that change. Instead, he’s gearing up for a different fight altogether…for Chloe’s heart.
Want to win? Just leave me a comment and tell me why you love summer! I’ll pick one commenter at random to win. That winning commenter will win the Kindle ebook version of THE LOOK OF LOVE. (I’m using Kindle for this giveaway b/c it is so easy to email the ebook as a gift with their service. Next week, I’ll be giving away B&N gift certificates, so if you have a Nook, no worries, your time will come, too!) However, you don’t actually have to own a Kindle in order to read Kindle books (though I bet you knew that already). You can download their free Kindle for PC program, read the ebooks on your computer, and be good to go! Ah…and now I’ve rambled. 🙂

Tell me what you love about summer–and THE LOOK OF LOVE could be yours!
I’ll start…I love star-gazing on a hot summer night.

I love summer because I can sit outside later and read and eat ice cream and not feel guilty. : )
Honestly summer is not my favorite time of year. Heat makes me ill and with Tamoxifen induced hot flashes, I’m liking it even less. But I do love all the flowers and the kids home from school. Even w/them being in college it’s nice to have them around. Lemonade is a big summer plus too.
Thanks for the giveaway. This looks like a real nice book to sit down with.
I love summer for the 4th of July. Absolutely love to watch the fireworks with my husband. Reminds me of when I fell in love with him. This year is even mre special because our little girl gets to enjoy them too, last year she was only 2 months old and his dad was in the hospital so that did not work out.
I love summer because I still have great memories of no school. Also, my sister’s birthday is the first day of summer, and mine’s a week after. Along with the fact that nearly all my friends growing up had summer birthdays, so not only is it no school, it’s birthday season – which means parties!
Also, the whole nice weather, everything being green, and all the fun activities make it perfect. Fireworks, barbecues, boating, vacations. Love it.
What I love about about summer are the BQs! I also love planing my daughters birthday.
I do love summer -as long as I stay in doors….lol…I’m not a fan of bugs or the extreem heat and humidity that we get in my area but I do enjoy the sunlight and the fact it stays daylight longer. For some reason I always seem to be able to get more done during a summer day than a winter day:)
What I love about summer is wearing sandals, shorts and capris; BBQs, fishing, and sitting on the deck in the evenings.
I used to love summer because of no school. Now, I can’t say I love it. I do not like heat and 80 and above is hot to me, strong sun and bugs. (I have Irish blood in me, making sun an enemy to my fish belly white skin.) I prefer spring and fall.
A few reasons why I love summer: Banana popsicles! Family get-togethers! Fireworks! My sister & BIL coming in from AZ and staying with us.
I love getting a fresh pedicure and showing it of by wearing flip flops. Eat watermelon and snow cones. Laying outside on the hammock reading in the morning. Taking walks in the evening with my family.
I love to go to the summer blockbuster movies. I, also, love that watermelon is in season.
Plain and simple: Flip flops!
I live in Michigan and when the weather breaks in the spring, flip flops are the only footwear you see me in until the cool fall weather rolls back into town.

Sunshine, fishing, camping, walks, bike rides, eating ice cream at the park with the kids, nature, animals, etc. I just love being outside in the sun 😀

What I love about Summer, The AC! 😀 Thank goodness for air conditioning!
I love that days are longer in the Summer, meaning I can spend them outdoors. Barbeques, picnic, hiking, beach and road trips. Plus, I can do it all wearing light-weight clothing.
There are a lot of things I love about the summer – baseball, BBQ’s and all the beautiful flowers that pop up everywhere. Plus, it the time of year for my annual family reunion on the beach. It’s awesome to watch the sunsets and relax by the water.
I like spending time with my kids and reading. I actually get a summer vacation from my job, so this is the time when I can catch up on all my favorite authors, sometimes reading a book a day. However, the time spent with my kids is essential. Sure, I spend time with them during the school year, but between homework, dinner, and getting ready for the next day, it is not usually what I would consider “quality time”. The summer is a different story. This is the time for going to the zoo, reading together, going to the park, swimming in the pool, family cooking meals, even watching television together and having lengthy discussions on everything we see. Summer is wonderful!
Getting to spend more time at the Beach and with family. Not having to get up so early! And not having to worry about homework and school!!! Yes I’m as bad as the kids, I love when summer arrives.
And traveling, I love to travel during the summer or to just take “trips” down different roads in the area.
hugs,
WendyK
I love summer because as a teacher, it is my time to rejuvenate. I get to actually sleep instead of grading papers. I get to read what I want to read not what I have to read to stay ahead of the students. I get to have lunch instead of trying to eat and anything else in 23 minutes before the kids get back. I can talk with someone other than a teenager who will argue that he is right and I am a dumb***(bunny) who has no idea how the world really works. I will miss them before I return.
Cynthia, thanks so much for including me and my new book on your blog today! And a big hello to everyone here! I love summer because it means swimming in the lake and bonfires and sitting out on the screened porch (I’m here now!) and sleeping in lake because there’s no school to take the kids to!
🙂 Bella
I live in Las Vegas, so we have like 9 months of summer (lol). But I love summer so we can spend it in the pool. You can’t live in the desert without a pool! I also hate being bundled up in any form, so summer is best for fashion 🙂
I just love the Cape Cod dunes and dining out “alfresco” on a warm summer night or taking a blanket off the boardwalk near an amusement pier or the smell of the sea air or picking fresh ripe strawberries or summer stock theater or homemade ice cream or….(sigh)

All these comments are reminding me of why I love summer so much! I was just out in the backyard, and I could see fireflies lighting up in the trees. When I was younger, I used to think those were fairies. 🙂 I still like to think that.
I am going to let the contest run until midnight tonight, and then I will be in early tomorrow to post the winner.
Have a great night!
I love the warmth, the sun and sitting in my backyard under an umbrella with a good book, iced tea and just enjoying the time. I seem to make a point in the summer of doing nothing but reading when I feel like it instead of rushing to get things done.
Thank You!!
Summer is usually filled with lots of family time, swimming at moms, cook outs, vacation and great book releases!
