Holiday Wishes Back to Blog

Update: Thank you for sharing your holiday wishes with me. I read through all of the comments–okay, I’ll confess I did that twice–because you made me cry.  There are just so many incredibly good people out in the world, and I was reminded of that fact as I read the comments. I know some of you are going through some very serious issues right now, and my prayers and good thoughts are going out to you.  Whether you made a big wish or a small one, I want that wish to come true.   I hope the holidays are good to you all–and that you all get exactly what you wished for.

I used the random generator to pick my winner (that’s how I’m picking all of the prizes unless the guest author has already picked), and the winner of the $50 Amazon.com gift card is Valerie M. Congratulations, Valerie!

This post is short and sweet–and it’s simply for wishes. What do you wish for this holiday season? Big or small, just share it. We should all take the time to make a wish, so please, make yours.

For the prize on this post? One random commenter will be selected to receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card—to help make her/his wish come true.

And I do hope that *all* of your holiday wishes come true. I hope the coming season brings magic to you!

I suspect they wish not to be eaten...what are you wishing for?

I’m just wishing for a good year to come and happiness and good health for my family and friends. I really don’t need anything else.

Like most I would wish for peace, for the world to be a better place and all good things, but those are things I want on an everyday basis, for a special Christmas wish,I am wishing for love,I will be volunteering to help some families this year with Christmas for them and their children and I just found out that there will be 37 single men helping out also and so as selfish as it sounds I hope one of them might be “the one”,I mean hes already volunteering so hes a good guy to start out with ,so with 37 good guys to be there maybe something good will happen and next Christmas I could volunteer as a couple!!!

I really, really wish all these horrific storms and weather related catastrophes would stop. So many people have suffered enough. For the holidays, I wish that everyone could have warmth, good food, laughter & love. For myself, I wish my dog could stay alive a lot longer than he has left. I also wish I could win the lottery, so I could move somewhere warmer!

My wish is selfish this year. My father died suddenly in September and my kids are still reeling form it. My wish is for them to grieve and grow and come to terms with it and not be so sad.

My wish is to find a job that I can support my children with so I can move my family out of my parents’ home. I want to be able to provide for my kids so that they don’t notice that their father is not around to be there for them.

  21. PamM says:

Honestly that I can get my kids and nephews stuff for Christmas that would be enough to make me happy.

  22. Tiffany K says:

This year I have been extremely lucky. The main thing I wanted, and Kindle Fire HD I won. Now I am down to the main thing I want being another bookshelf, and of course books to put it on. Just the other day a friend asked me what I wanted and I told her a call or card on Christmas is good enough for me.

Something that I didn’t think of was that I’d like to have a peaceful Christmas surrounded by family. This is the first year in forever that I’ve had my grandparents close and I was talking to any of my family members. I would love to see them and spend time with them.

  28. Barbara Elness says:

My wish is that I could spend Christmas with my sister and her family. I don’t have any grandkids so I like to share hers. There’s nothing like Christmas with a child’s excitement, it makes it so much more fun. 😀 Unfortunately I live on the other side of the country and traveling at this time of year is not only expensive, but way to hectic. One of these days though, I’m going to have an organized plan and go visit at Christmas.

My mother is an avid reader. She shared her love of reading with me and I can’t thank her enough for that gift. This Christmas, I wanted to buy her a Kindle and load it with books that I know she will love. I want to give back to her what she gave me to when I was a child. I had planned on doing this and then Hurricane Sandy hit and that just ruined us financially.

Money is very tight this year mainly due to that fact that Hurricane Sandy it us hard. I am still trying to restock my pantry and refrigerator because I lost all of my food due to being without power for well over a week. My area got hit soo hard that we went through all of our pantries and I was able to cook on top of my woodstove, we were cooking what we could and giving it to the elderly family and to those who were even less fortunate than we were. It really taught my children about compassion and giving and being thankful for what we have instead of what we don’t have. It’s definitely not cheap restocking a whole kitchen with food. I know things could have been worse and I am thankful that my children and my husband are healthy and we’ll be with family this Christmas, and isn’t that what Christmas should be about, being with those you love?

    Happy Holidays!
