Bella Andre is Back!! And She’s Got a Giveaway! Back to Blog

Bella’s back!! I’m very happy to have awesome author Bella Andre back at my blog. I love Bella’s stories (and I hope you do, too!) Bella has a new release, and she’s dropped by to chat with us about the tale. Welcome, Bella!

I’m so thrilled to be a part of Cynthia’s blog today to celebrate the release of my new contemporary romance, FROM THIS MOMENT ON, about the Sullivan family – 6 brothers and 2 sisters in a close knit family.

For thirty-six years, Marcus Sullivan has been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings after their father died when they were children. But when the perfectly ordered future he’s planned for himself turns out to be nothing but a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all.

Nicola Harding is known throughout the world by only one name – Nico – for her catchy, sensual pop songs. Only, what no one knows about the twenty-five year old singer is that her sex-kitten image is totally false. After a terrible betrayal by a man who loved fame far more than he ever loved her, she vows not to let anyone else get close enough to find out who she really is…or hurt her again. Especially not the gorgeous stranger she meets at a nightclub, even though the hunger – and the sinful promises – in his dark eyes make her want to spill all her secrets.

One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But nothing goes as they plan when instead of simply tangling limbs, they find a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated. Growing emotions – and sizzling attraction – keep drawing them closer together. Close enough for them to wonder if stealing one more secret moment together can ever be enough?

One of the reasons why FROM THIS MOMENT ON was so much fun to write is because my heroine is a pop star. I never became a star 🙂 but I did spend ten years recording CDs and touring around the world before I began to write romance. And every day while I write, I pop in my earbuds and listen to music – everything from Joni Mitchell to Justin Bieber to the songs from Glee.

I’m having an absolute blast with my Sullivan family and can’t wait to tell every single one of their love stories! The first book – THE LOOK OF LOVE – came out this summer and the next – CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE – will be out in December.

I’d love to know what some of your favorite careers for heroines are? I’ll happily give away a digital copy of THE LOOK OF LOVE (Sullivans #1) to one of the commenters.

Happy reading!

When I was much younger I wanted to be an air stewardess; but I needed glasses to see and couldn’t qualify. Then a nurse but I’m afraid of needles. A teacher maybe? Too many kids.
Now I’m a wife of 32 years a Mom to a 29 and 27 year olds and work in retail. And quite happy!

  2. Cynthia Eden says:

Thanks so much for guest posting, Bella!! And congrats on your new release!

  3. Shea says:

This book sounds wonderful and I am anticipating reading it. My favorite career for a heroine is chef, for some reason food is sexy to me… probably why I have such a passion for chocolate.

  4. Limecello says:

Hi Bella and Cynthia! Congratulations on your new release, Bella!
Hm… I have to admit I’m partial to career woman heroines, especially executives. There’s always so many layers for the hero to go through. Although teacher heroines can be fun too. Some great ones that come to mind are chefs as well. Love when a heroine is an executive chef. I’m not picky as long as the story works. 😀

  5. Jahaira Trinidad-Deleve says:

Ummm.. I guess anything where they get to show the “boys” who is in charge. LOL!!

  6. Marianne says:

Love both heroines that are succesful professional, but also like the struggling bohemian “artsy” free spirit heroine.

  7. I’ve read some great books where the heroine works in the medical field, like a nurse maybe. There’s so much natural tension in a hospital or doctor’s office, don’t you think?

  8. Michele says:

Hi Bella, thanks for stopping by and telling us about your series. Would love to win, but if I don’t I will be grabbing the first two 🙂

Favorite career for heroines for me was when they were FBI agents. Tough women who could take care of themselves and be right there to help the hero 🙂

    Happy Release Day Bella!!!!!

  9. Bella – sounds like an awesome book! I sing in a cover band and it is a blast!

My heroine one of my ms’s was a country music singer and that was fun. I like heroines who are cops, chefs, talk show hosts . . . anything but an attorney (I get to do tha all day – I don’t want to read about it)

  10. Danny says:

Big congrats to your new release, Bella!

Favorite jobs, let me think. Firefighter and FBI agents

  11. Viki says:

    Congratulations on your release Bella.

I don’t think my profession of Ceramic Engineer would work well into a story heroine unless it was figuring out why the tiles were falling off the space shuttle so I won’t go there ;). I’d think a veterinarian would make a fantastic heroine.

  12. Amy R says:

Congratulations on your release today Bella!

Archaelogist for my heroine, which usually leads them to adventures in exotic places 🙂

  13. Na says:

I like heroines in all sorts of career and some of the really fun ones are those in the food industry as chefs and bakers. I also like to see strong women featured in roles that shows them, investigators, FBI agents, and doctors.

  14. Maria D. says:

Love the cover! This series sounds like a lot of fun. I don’t really have a favorite career for heroines – the only thing I really require is that they are not silly and don’t act like a doormat …I’ve read everything from Scientists…to astranauts….to bakers…to homemakers…so it doesn’t really matter as long as their character is well developed

  15. Colleen says:

I enjoy the variety of careers that heroines have in books… depending on my mood I even like ones out of the norm…

  16. Valerie Long says:

I like heroines with a kick-butt type job, maybe a cop or P.I. or vampire hunter, demon slayer, stuff like that. The tougher the job the more interesting the story. =) Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  17. Angie M says:

I like reading about a pop star heroine but some of my other favorite professions to read about are pilots, small business owners and doctors. Looking forward to reading this series!

  18. Larena Wirum says:

I like the sound of your book with a heroine that is a pop star. Other professions I think are fun for the heroine is: PI, authors :-), architecture things that are a little different but I think that can really make a story fun to read. 🙂

  19. Jane says:

I like reading about doctor, professor and reporter heroines.

  20. Bella Andre says:

Hello! Thank you for having me on your blog again, Cynthia! You’re the best.

Wow, you guy have come up with a great list of careers! I’m taking notes for future books. 🙂

And thanks for the congrats on my new Sullivan family series! It’s been a blast to write these books – I have a habit of falling in love with all of my heroes as I get to know them better. (Shhh…don’t tell my husband. LOL).

Thanks so much to everyone for saying hello and listing your favorite occupations to read about. I love that it’s such a wide ranges from teachers to FBI agents to chefs.

I’ll check back in a bit later to say hello again!
    🙂 Bella

So far, both covers are beautiful!

I’m open to any profession although with some I have suspend belief even more. For instance, the professional chefs I know all have tough, scarred hands from all the accidents and burns in the kitchen. That’s not so sexy to me. I guess if I know something of a profession, little things like that can bother me.

Still, as long as the heroine has a profession that pays well so that she’s not waiting for a guy to provide financial security (even if she’s too proud to accept), I’m fine with it.

  22. Jacki C. says:

The heroine needs to have a really big gun and know how to use it – but still squeals when she sees a spider!

  23. Anne says:

The actual career or lack of in a story doesn’t really affect me much because so little time is usually given to fleshing out that kind of backstory. I’m not picky anything from struggling artist to mechanic to attorney works for me.

  24. Stephenia says:

I like the tough girls – FBI, NCIS types. But more important is a woman making her way in the world and not depending on a guy for her happiness. Then when her hero appears, he enhances her life, but she still has a mind of her own.
