Are You READY FOR LOVE? Back to Blog

Update: Thank you for all the great comments! ๐Ÿ™‚ ย There sure are some wonderful adventures out there. ย I randomly picked a winner, and that commenter was…Kim! Congrats, Kim! I will email you with prize details.

My writing buddy Marie Force as a great new release–READY FOR LOVE.

For four of the best summers of his young life, Luke Harris was in love with Sydney Donovan, a wealthy seasonal visitor to Gansett Island. Then Sydney went off to college and never came back. She married another man and had two children while Luke remained on the island, working at McCarthy’s Gansett Marina and wondering what had gone wrong between him and the only woman he ever loved. Fifteen months after Sydney suffers the tragic loss of her husband and children, she’s returned to Gansett to figure out what’s next, and that may very well be a rekindled love affair with the one man from her past sheโ€™s never forgotten. But is she ready for a second chance at love?

***

So, to celebrate her release, I’m going to share the love today. Would you like to win a Kindle copy of this ebook? ย (And you don’t have to own a Kindle to win–you can use the free Kindle for PC program to read the book right on your computer.) ย To win, just tell me the best adventure you’ve had so far this summer. I’ll let the contest run until 5 PM Central time on 7/8/11. Good luck!

My best adventure has definitely been watching my youngest daughter take her first steps after a lot of health problems. I was so proud!

This book sounds really interesting and is likely to have me in tears. I would love to win!

Best adventure of this summer?? Having my husband go with me to a collectors convention that he usually avoids! Our first vacation together since our honeymoon 18 yrs ago! I love Marie Force’s books, but haven’t added this one to my kindle yet, so I would LOVE to win a copy!! Thanks for the contest!!

Best adventure…I’m a Master in the martial arts, which means I’m an old broad, and I’ve done a lot, but when I decided to take my first grandchild who is 5, to her first formal martial arts class (a different system than me), I was just..”Grandma” and she was having a blast out there on the mat; as she would look over to me she would wave and smile and jump around! I tell ya, this ole’ lady was flyin’ high and feelin’ verra’ honored! ๐Ÿ™‚ Ninja Hugs! ~M

My best adventure so far this summer hasn’t happened yet – hubs is taking me w/him on business to Portland in August. I love it out there. Climbing Mt. Hood is SO much fun along with all the other fine things to do. My birthday is while we’re out there too.

This book sounds very good but it also sounds like it’s going to have a heavy start. Good deep read? Thanks for the giveaway.

My best adventure so far this summer is going to the Harry Potter exhibit in NYC a couple weeks ago. It was fantastic to see some of the costumes and sets from the movies!
My next adventure (I know you didn’t ask) is going to the signing at AAD in August! CANNOT WAIT!
Thanks for the opportunity. The book looks great. Marie Force is awesome!

I love reunion type stories and this one sounds wonderful ๐Ÿ™‚

Best adventure so far, we went to park, barbecued the day away, lounged lakeside and basked in the glow of Summer. Considering all the rain we get over here, that was a rare and much appreciated day.

  9. My boyfriend and I decided to go to the beach and we just drove up and down the coast in the area visiting different ones. Was a lot of fun.

  10. Cris says:

Best adventure so far: driving ~7 hours (and then back) to waaay upstate New York & Canada with a bunch of scuba divers to dive six shipwrecks in the St. Lawrence Seaway. As a non-American, crossing the border back into the U.S. is always an adventure ๐Ÿ˜›

Best adventure yet to come: 7 days scuba diving in Fiji in October! I’m a postgraduate student stuck in a laboratory all day; getting out and seeing the sun constitutes an adventure.

Marie rocks! *Impatiently waiting for July 18 & the next Fatal book*

  11. Shirley says:

The best adventure so far: Was leaving our three daughters with my mom and heading to a remote island off the coast of Ponce, in Puerto Rico (where I live) called Caja de Muertos. We had to wake up early, drive across the island and charter a boat. We went with our photography club members carrying everything we could need: bathing suits, coolers, food, cameras, tripods.

We spent the whole day at the beach, taking photos, relaxing and having a great time. Then we stayed over night at a hotel and spend the next afternoon sight seeing around the town.

Very adventurous to me since it was our first weekend alone in 5 years!

Waking up at 5:30am to take my 11 year old son to fishing camp sounded more like torture than my greatest summer adventure so far, but it was a week we both will remember for years to come. He discovered a love of fishing on day one and enjoyed being there on the sidelines watching his eyes glisten with a new passion. On the last day of camp he realized that he could combine his new passion of fishing with his LOVE of reading. It doesn’t get any better than seeing your child find something that brings him true happiness in life.

Does going to a strawberry festival and eating food count as an adventure? I hope so. I’d love to win Marie’s book!

  15. JenM says:

I’ve been waiting for this book – how did I miss that it had been released? I read the first two of the trilogy while I was on my great adventure this summer – 4 weeks in Europe, visiting London, Paris, Normandy, Amsterdam and Edinburgh.

  16. An adventure this summer? Getting a raccoon in the house one night!

  17. Tabitha says:

Sky diving on “doomsday” this year. I think I was under a rock because I hadn’t realize all the noise about that day…until I went for my dive and everyone was saying that “I was going out with a bang”. Oh yeah, I was really out of my head. My first ever dive and I’m afraid of heights! lol

  18. shadow says:

hi! thank you for sharing and for the giveaway! my biggest adventure so far this year: my moms proposal for her bussiness went through! in about 2-3 weeks, itll be up and going and we get to do what we love, taking care of people, and we’re our own bosses! how great is that? yay! im so excited! ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Hilleary Peterson says:

My biggest adventure this summer, for the first time in 9 years with my husband he decided to be spontaneous. Woke up on Saturday and decided we should go to the zoo. The next day he decided to take me on a day trip to Hutchinson, KS to the Cosmosphere, then took the long way home so that I could see the flint hills. Which was a big deal considering I have never even seen mountains. It was a mini vacation. And the first “vacation” I have ever really had.

  20. Colleen says:

My best adventure so far… well I have not done too much, but the other night was a huge dust storm and I had to chase stuff all over my yard to keep it from leaving! ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was kinda funny…

  21. infinitieh says:

Haven’t really had any adventures yet. I did see a Great Blue Heron catch a large-ish mammal (bigger than a rat) in a field near my house (across the highway from the nearest wetland – had no idea why there were herons and egrets hunting in the grassy field).
