A little bit of holiday news… Back to Blog

I’m starting to sing Christmas songs at my house. I know, I KNOW–way too early, right?  (Even if the local hobby store does already have aisles and aisles of holiday decorations up.  Christmas Creep dead ahead!)  But, see, I’ve got a reason for my holiday cheer.  I’ve recently been asked to write a holiday novella for an upcoming Kensington Brava Christmas anthology.  Fun!

This is my first Christmas story. I did a New Year’s story for A RED HOT NEW YEAR, and a I had a blast with that holiday.  And Christmas–well, come on, that’s just a great time of the year!

But…for those of you who have read my other Kensington novellas, there’s going to be a bit of a change with this one. You see, it will be Christmas and contemporary (no vampires or demons, oh my!). This is a contemporary romance anthology so I’ll stretch my wings a bit and try something new.  I’m looking forward to writing this one. (Thus the Christmas singing in September.)  And my awesome editor, the Magnificient M sent me a package full of Christmas Brava books to help get me in the holiday mood.  Thank you, M!

So, as soon as I finish my current WIP (paranormal all the way), I’ll jump into my Christmas story.  By the way, I should hit page 300 on this WIP by Sunday.  Score!

Now, if anyone out there would like to get in the holiday mood, too–my friend Lauren Dane has a sexy holiday anthology that just released.

Sweet Charity by Lauren Dane: Eight years after a horrible one night stand,Charity and Gabriel finally find themselves in bed again. Trouble is, he thinks she’s too nice a girl to accept his darker sexual urges, so he’ll only agree to a short term fling. Gabriel’s about to find out that even sweet girls have their limits.

Unraveled by Jaci Burton: Entrepreneur Mitch Magruder wants to buy old friend Greta Mason’s rundown motel. Greta loves the motel and intends to hang tight, despite the feelings between her and Mitch. Can a man afraid to commit and a woman bruised by the past find a love worth building a future on?

Now we can all get in the holiday mood!

I can’t wait to get my hot little hands on this, but I’ll probably wait until at least Nov. to read it. I love to read holiday books around that holiday, espcially Halloween and Christmas.

Christmas in September? I’m sorry, but there’s just something so wrong about that. 😆 Good luck with the novella, Cyn. Sounds like it’ll be fun.
