Yes, I am bringing back my “Booking It” posts–those posts that let me chat all about books I like, books I want to read, books on my keeper shelf–books! And if you want to talk books, too, feel free to chat it up in the comments. Tell me what you want to read. Tell me your favorite all-time book. If you’re an author, tell me about your latest release–Booking It is open to everyone.
First up, today, one of my favorite authors (and a really fun lady) has a release. Congratulations, Larissa Ione! ECSTASY UNVEILED is available now in a bookstore near you!
If you haven’t tried books in Larissa’s Demonica world yet–what are you waiting for? This book will give you a half-breed demon assassin and an earthbound angel. Come on, you know that sounds cool! I love the Demonica stories and I think this installment will be just as compelling as the others.
This is a YA book about a girl who discovers she’s actually a vampire princess. Oh, wow. I couldn’t put this book down! After a few pages, I was addicted. Such an easy, fun read! Great characters–cool plot. If you’re looking for a good YA read, I’d definitely recommend this!
Now, what have you got for me? What should I be reading?

Happy Friday! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Two days ago, I got the urge to transform our storage room into my new office. Several hours of painting and cursing later, I’m wondering why I had that urge. But I do have an office now. Well, *almost*. I should be finished with the bookshelves today or tomorrow. So–this explanation is my excuse for not blogging sooner. I fell into the land of paint! 🙂
I’ve gotten the all-clear from my editor for a new story idea–yay!! This one will be a paranormal, and it will focus on a new Other character for me. An angel. Or rather, the Angel of Death. To be more specific–what happens when the Angel of Death falls? Ah, fallen angels can be tempting. (He’ll have lovely black wings that get burned away when he falls.) So I’m researching angels now and will begin the story later today. I love the thrill I get when I start a new story.
Oh, and did I mention that the heroine is a vampire? Cause she is–or she will be, by the time I’m finished with her.
And speaking of angels, a new angel film opens today. LEGION will hit theaters around the county. When I first saw the preview for this movie, I was super excited. And I still think the movie will be great. But, sadly, I may not see it. Everyone has their hot buttons that turn them off books or movies, and for me–my button is something bad happening to kids. Gah! I can’t take it. Give me a Jaxon X slasher flick anytime. But don’t give me creepy kids or something bad happening to *normal* kids. I saw a preview of LEGION last night that featured kids who seemed to be possessed. So, yep, that now means I’m hesitating on seeing the flick.
If someone else sees it,will you please let me know how bad those scenes are?
And since I shared my hot-button with you…tell me yours. What can you not stand to read about in a book or see in a movie?

I’ve recently received some great reviews on ETERNAL HUNTER that I wanted to share.

And Victoria of TwoLips Reviews gave ETERNAL HUNTER 5 lips. Here’s a snippet from her review: “Eternal Hunter will leave you at the edge of your seat, salivating for more stories in the Night Watch series. ” You can check out the full review at the at TwoLips.
Thank you, Amelia and Victoria! And thanks to all the great people who have written to tell me they enjoyed Jude and Erin’s story!!

This book is an August release from Grand Central Publishing (for the Forever line), but my editor said that it should be in stores or available from your online retailer on July 27th.
This is my first straight romantic suspense novel (so don’t expect vamps and demons in this one), and I sure had fun writing this book! I’ve turned in two more “Deadly” books to my GCP editor, and those are slated for release in early 2011. The books are dark and sexy and I really hope readers enjoy them.
I’m going to update the look of my site soon to reflect the fact that I’ll have both paranormal romances and romantic suspense novels available. So stay tuned for the update! And thanks for letting me share my cover and blurb!!
