Time for another great book spotlight! This time, the spotlight is from awesome author Donna Grant.  Donna and I are actually release day buddies–her new book, MIDNIGHT’S LOVER, is in bookstores today!

A WARRIOR’S PASSION

Driven by the fierce god within him, Highlander Ian Kerr is sworn to fight for the land he loves—and the brother he lost. But when he’s magically transported four centuries into the future, he finds himself fighting his own desires—for a beautiful, bewitching woman who could hold a warrior spellbound…

A WOMAN’S MAGIC

Danielle Buchanan has heard the legends. She has felt the power of Druid blood in her veins. But she has never known a man as fearsome—or as haunted—as the warrior Ian. With her magic, Dani must help him battle an ancient evil. With her heart, she must join him in his quest. But only with her soul can she free him from his curse…and seal their fates together.

And the small teaser:

“Ah…Ian?”

“Aye?”

“I…um…I didn’t get you any undies.”

“Undies?” he repeated. The dressing room curtain shifted and he poked his head around it. “What are you talking about?”

“Underwear. Men – and women – wear them beneath clothes. Men can wear briefs that…um…hug the body. There’s also boxers.”

Danielle ran over to a rack and grabbed a pack to show him. Ian’s eyes crinkled at the corners when he saw the picture of the naked man wearing nothing but tight fitting briefs.

“I prefer to go without,” Ian said.

The thought of Ian naked beneath his kilt, and now whatever clothes they bought, made her body heat up and her heart thud in her chest.

“Danielle?”

She jerked, startled to hear Ian’s voice so close to her.

“How’s this?” he asked.

Dani let her eyes roam over the flannel shirt that fit snugly across his broad chest. He hadn’t tucked the shirt in, but it didn’t distract from his long legs encased in black denim.

“Is it that bad?”

She shook her head. “Not at all. Turn and let me see the back.”

“I doona think I like anything around my legs.”

But Danielle could certainly get used to it. “Try the next size smaller.”

“Smaller?” he asked in a choked voice. “Lass, I may no’ get into them.”

“Trust me, Ian,” she said with a smile.

While I like to think of myself as flexible and smart and worldly, honestly I’d probably make a horrible time traveler! I also like life somewhat predictable, and well, I can’t imagine time-traveling being too much of that!!

Time traveling stories are fun to read; however, I don’t think I would do so well if I traveled back in time. I am a little too attached to modern conveniences and would definitely miss them!

the only way I would be a good time traveler is if I could go forward. Don’t think I could do without things like plumbing 🙂

I would be a good time traveler if I could go to the future or if I only stayed a couple days in the past.

  15. Danny says:

I would make a good time traveler, because I am fascinated by history. Would love to visit the different time periods, especially the Middle Ages
