Thank you so much to the wonderful Cynthia Eden for hosting me! Since I’m having a release she’s been awesome enough to let me hang out and chat today.
When I first started writing the only thing I ever contemplated trying was romantic suspense. It was a genre I was familiar with and absolutely loved and it’s also the reason I fell in love with romance in the first place (thank you Linda Howard!). Thankfully I discovered other genres and soon I was writing paranormal romance in addition to erotic romance as well. It seems that whenever I said I doubted I’d ever write in a certain genre, I found myself wanting to try it. Apparently reverse psychology works when I do it to myself.
Recently I decided to try writing an erotic sci-fi even though in the past I was absolutely sure it was something I’d never be interested in. I like reading in the genre but just didn’t think it was for me. Even so Heated Mating was born. Thankfully my editor didn’t laugh at me when I submitted it to her.
What are some things you’ve surprised yourself by trying? And did you like the end results or regret it? Or, who are some of your favorite erotic sci fi authors? Two I really enjoy are Nathalie Gray and KC Burn. Answer either question and be entered to win a copy of Heated Mating. I’ll be giving away downloads (digital format only) to two commenters. Winners will be announced in the comments section tomorrow (Saturday) after 12 Central so be sure to check back! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Heated Mating Blurb:
Saroya has always been fascinated by Linc and never understood his reluctance to be near her. When he makes it clear he’s sexually interested in her she jumps at the chance to join him in bed. But things get more complicated when he won’t commit emotionally.
Linc has wanted Saroya from the moment he met her, and throughout her short mating with his brother. His culture might encourage two males to mate with one woman, but Linc could never share Saroya. Not even with his brother. When his brother dies, leaving Saroya unmated, Linc intends to claim her. Before he can win that battle he’ll have to swallow his warrior pride and win her heart once and for all.
A little about me: I’ve been reading romance since I was a kid and the addiction stayed with me into adulthood. As Savannah Stuart I write sensual erotic romance and the majority of it is published through Ellora’s Cave. As Katie Reus I write dark paranormal romance and sexy romantic suspense. My publishing houses are Carina Press & NAL/Signet Eclipse. To learn more about me please visit both my websites. http://savannahstuartauthor.com and http://katiereus.com.

Lea 🙂
Hi, Savannah, and congrats on this latest release! I love your hot stories 🙂
Thanks so much for being here today, Savannah/Katie! I’m looking forward to all of your upcoming releases!
Sci-fi? Wow – sounds terrific. Can’t wait to read it. Congratulations on the release.
RElease day is always fun. Love e-book giveaways. Thanks you for the chance to win
I know I’ve read some erotic sci-fi, but no titles or names come to mind. I’m a huge Urban Fantasy fan, not sure which book brought me into the fold, but I’m surprised I tried it (maybe it was disguised as a romance or mystery. I was never a big fantasy fan.
This book sounds really good. Thanks for holding this giveaway.
You had me at “heated” and “mating”. Story sounds fabulous! Thank you for the chance to win!
Hi ladies! Thanks again to Cynthia for having me today and to everyone who has stopped by so far. And Anne, I recently delved in to UF also. Before it was always PNR but I’m finding I like UF too 🙂
I loved the blurb for Heated Mating. It sounds like Linc doesn’t want to miss his chance. I love a motivated hero. I can’t wait to see how he wins her trust after rejecting her emotionally.
Congrats on the release Savannah!
I have widen my scope on reading different genres in romance and loving it. I will admit that I am just touching the surface of Scifi and looking forward to reading more…
Congrats on this release and thanks for the chance to win!
Wow, this looks really good. I definitely am going to put this one on my wishlist.
Congratulations on your new release. Thanks for the giveaway.
To be honest, I am a creature of habit and rarely EVER try anything new. So the last thing I remember trying was about 5 yrs ago. I was 43 and never drank coffee in my life. One day I took my son to the mall and he wanted an espresso and suggested I might like a mocha since I love chocolate. So I tried one and loved it. I drink 3 a week now :).
Hi Savannah,
Congrats on your new release. As for erotic sci-fi authors, I really enjoy Laurann Dohner’s Zorn Warrior’s and her Cyborg series.

Ooh! Count me in! My fave erotic romance authors would have to be KC Burn, JL Langley, LB Gregg, (sending a trend here), Shiloh Walker, Jaci Burton, Cheyenne McCray, Mary Wine, Monica Burns, among many, many others. There are SO many I had to leave out for space reasons (brain and site) but I’d love to add you to my list!

Great answers so far!! I’m seeing names I love! Can’t believe I forgot Laurann Dohner, I love her Cyborg series 🙂
Usually I have lunch once a week with one of my friends who is now retired. We meet at a local mall where she then takes me to some new restaurant where I am supposed to try something new; I’m not adventurous when it comes to food; so it’s always new to me!
I love the blurb and seeing that characters can have more than one mate. Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks for everyone who stopped by and thanks again to Cynthia for hosting me! I apologize for not getting to respond to everyone individually, we’ve had company the past few days and my online time has been limited 🙂
