After days of acting like a stalker at my local bookstores, I finally managed to snag a copy of the December Romantic Times! Woo-hoo! I was so excited as I read the article about Red Sage–I truly think Alexandria Kendall has done a fabulous job of creating this publishing company. She knows the romance industry VERY well and she works so well with her authors.

There was a quote from me in the article–yep, completely made my day! But wait…an excerpt from The Wolf’s Mate (featured in Secrets, Volume 18) was also included in the magazine! Talk about Christmas coming early! I was reading the article, hands shaking with excitement, and it took me a good five minutes to notice the fact that my excerpt had been included. When I finally noticed it, I do remember giving out a happy little shriek.

There were actually a few items in the Romantic Times that caused me to give that happy shriek. Here’s another one: Apparently, there will be production of grapic novels based on Buffy–these stories should be the equivalent of Season Eight of the series. Josh Wheddon will write the first four and the last four issues of the comic.

What else got me excited in this issue? The 4.5 stars that Secrets, Volume 18 received and the fact that MaryJanice Davidson is launching a mermaid series (I really love her books!). Also, Jeri Smith-Ready, a talented writer I was lucky enough to chat with at the Atlanta RWA, was listed as one of the upcoming “writers to watch” in this issue. I think I may have missed a few other important points in the issue (due to my overwhelming glee) so I’ll re-read it later today.
