Booking It–Recap and New Releases Back to Blog

Last week, I read Christine Feehan‘s latest, BURNING WILD, and the book kept me up until the oh-so-wee hours.  I love it when I get so involved in a book that I can’t put it down. Well, I love it at the time I’m reading. But the next morning…the pain!  The sleepless pain!

Right now, I’ve got Amanda Quick‘s THE PERFECT POISON sitting next to me. I love Amanda Quick’s writing style and her characters–always fun.

A few of my Bradford sisters have releases this week, and Iwanted to give them shout-outs on the old blog.  🙂

First up…the mega talented Lauren Dane has a sexy new release from Berkley Heat (available Tuesday!):  Here’s the blurb for RELENTLESS:

Since the first settlers came through the portals from Earth, fifteen Families have held the rule of the Federated Universes in their hands. There’s never been a better time than now to throw out the old and usher in a new order. Give voice to the unranked. Abbie Haws has spent her life battling the system. A fighter, she’s always been too busy and driven to pay much attention to finding love. But when she’s granted audience with Roman Lyons, the head of House Lyons, who stands for everything she hates, her instant attraction catches Abbie off-guard…

It’s common knowledge that the Known Universe revolves around Ravena—and that Ravena revolves around Roman Lyons, bred to lead since birth. Roman dreads his meeting with a defiant—if stunning—rabble-rouser. But, sometimes, headstrong personalities in the conference room make for hot-and-heavy, guilty trysts in private….

Now, Abbie will show Roman the parts of her world he wouldn’t otherwise get to see. And he’ll give her a glimpse of the Families’ age old tradition and unleash a sexuality he’d never given rein to before.

And have you read Beth Kery?  I have–and I love her writing. Love it. Beth has a new time travel (ah, time travel–I am so into you lately!) that also releases on Tuesday:

Isn’t that a great cover?  And check out the blurb:

He sees her, wants her, needs her…

Chicago Detective Ryan Daire has many secrets: a love for Shakespeare, an appreciation for the all the finer things in life, and an absolute lack of restraint in the bedroom. Now he has an even bigger secret. In every shifting shadow of the sprawling mansion he’s recently inherited he can see her—tempting, ethereal, and untouchable. Hope Stillwater inhabited that mansion in 1906. Raw desire has formed a conduit between these two passionate souls who are separated by the barrier of time.

Now he has to have her.

Intoxicated by each other’s presence, Ryan and Hope are closer than ever to crossing that inviting boundary between two worlds. But there is one grave danger: Ryan’s job has put him on the trail of a depraved criminal in an investigation that’s risking Hope’s eternal fate and happiness. Now he must do whatever it takes to change history, protect Hope from harm, and set his own desires free.

And the last release on today’s Booking It…

I picked this one up at RT. The cover is sexy, and the stories are all paranormal–and written by some fabulous authors. How could I say no to this book?  I couldn’t!! Stay tuned for a review. (I would have posted one sooner, but I had to work on copy-edits for my next vamp tale and my reading schedule got a bit slowed down.)

And what’s on your reading list?  Got a great book you want to share with me?  If you’re a reader, let me know what you’re reading. If you’re a writer, feel free to share about your latest release.

I’ll check out these books. Haven’t read a time travel in awhile. It sounds intriguing.

I just read The Perfect Poison by Amanda Quick and loved it. Other than that, my reading is research for what might be my next book. It’s slow reading, but I’ve got to do it.

Hey Cindy, those books sound fabulous, especially the time-travel. I’ll have to look it up.

My reading has slowed down some till I get my WIP finished, but I have Evermore by Alyson Noel that I started, and it’s wonderful! The Twilight fans are raving about it, so I had to check it out. 😆

  3. Brandy says:

I have Perfect Poison on my hold list at the library! The other books sound very good, thanks for recommending them!

I just picked up Silver Falls by Anne Stuart, and can’t wait to dig in, I love her writing style so much…it’s very dark and gritty and she is definitely not afraid to take chances with her characters!

Ooh, I love me a good time travel and I have been seeing Beth Kery’s Daring Time all over Blogland.

    Have you read it Cynthia?

Willa *who is still sticking her eyebrows back on after having them scorched off reading Immortal Danger!* 😀

Wow. Those all sound really good. Gonna have to check out a couple of them. Right now I’m reading a time travel as well. 😎 “Till There Was You” by Lynn Kurland. Pretty darned good.

Didn’t know the latest Amanda Quick book was out. Gotta go find that one.
