Scary Movies Back to Blog
One of the things I love to do during October is watch a good (or bad, I’m really not too picky!) scary movie. Of course, the Halloween movies are classics for me, but I like to try new flicks, too. I thought I’d share some movie trailers with you today, to get you in that Halloween movie mood!
First up–Cursed. One of my favorite werewolf flicks:
Next…a new flick (one I’m hoping to see very soon)–My Soul To Take:
My last pick of the day? Drag Me To Hell. Slick, scary, fun.
Now what flicks do you want to recommend to me?

The one I have to watch since I was little is Beetlejuice. I am not sure why but I enjoy it. My kids they have to watch a Harry Potter marathon and an Underworld marathon.
Oh, I love Bettlejuice! Thanks for mentioning that one!
Love some scary movies- the only real downside to the month of October is that all the channels are playing stuff I like to watch – it’s hard for a gal to choose!
I know! Decisions, decisions!
I thought the GRUDGE was really kind of scary.
I haven’t seen that one yet–but I’ve been wanting to watch it!
Cool trailers, I’ve seen the first one, love Christine Ricci.
I’m waiting for Underworld 4 to come out…I think next month!! Whoohoo!!!
Other scary movies? Can’t think of one right now, I don’t usually watch scary movies.

Underworld 4?! Gah–I must go find a preview!
I think the most terrifying movie I’ve ever seen is Spaced Invaders.
Marcia, I have to go search for that one–haven’t seen it!
Not one for gory movies. I like scary ones … but hold the gore. Ick. I love the Underworld series, although the last one was pretty lame.
I’m with you, minus the gore, please. 🙂
Hey Cynthia! Cursed is one of my favorite werewolf movies, but I am a fan of the classics. I love the old creature feature movies. I love the original Mummy, Wolfman, Dracula etc. Also one of my favs is Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein. Love it love it love it!!!! Great post!
The Ring bugged me quite a bit.
I am a HUGE fan of Bruce Campbell so the Evil Dead series is one we watch all the time. We love them all.
I wouldn’t mind another Blade with Wesley Snipes. enjoyed those movies.
I’ve loved the Drag Me To Hell movie. That was great. I want to see My Soul To Take. I will always love the original Halloween movie. Original Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I don’t like the remakes. I watched The Fourth Kind. That scared the crap out of me. Anything alien scares me.
The original Nightmare On Elm Street is not just my favorite scary movie but one of my favorite movies ever. He kills you when are you sleeping. How the heck is that not scary??
I saw Drag Me to Hell on DVD a couple of months ago and it was pretty good. “The Exorcist” and the original “House of Wax” are my favorite scary movies.
Nightbreed, The Peoples Under the Stairs, Silver Bullet, Halloween,An American Werewolf in London. For cheesy goodness Fright Night, The Evil Dead and its sequels, and Lost Boys.
I’m not a big scary movie fan. Not unless they’re kind of funny, like Beetlejuice. Next weekend, I’m looking forward to seeing Red — an action comedy with Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and a few other great actors.
