Halloween Recipes Back to Blog
In October, I always enjoy experimenting with different, fun Halloween recipes. Sometimes,my experiments turn out well–and sometimes, not so much (my son still laughs about the green witch cake gone terribly, terribly wrong). Here are a few new recipes that I hope to try this year (picked up from around the web):
First up, Funny Bones from FamilyFun.Go.Com. (Click the link to see the recipe.)
These look like tasty fun. Marshmallows, pretzel sticks, white chocolate–that all sounds easy enough to me! And they look cool. Can’t wait to try this one out.
And for ghoulishly cool cupcakes, you can follow these instructions:
But desserts aren’t the only fun treats–how about some Halloween fun for breakfast?
If you want to try this frightful breakfast, here’s the recipe link for No Bones About It.
And if you’ve got a fun recipe to share, please do!

My kids & I love making Mummy dogs. All you need is a package of your favorite hot dogs and 2 packages of Pilsbury (or any brand) cresent rolls. When you open the cresent rolls, they come apart into gtriangles, DONT piull these apart leave them in rectangles. then lay them out & using a pizza cutter cut them into strips. I have the kids wrap the dogs in the strips then bake them in the oven (350* until the cresent rolls turn golden brown. When I take them out & serve them I put ketchup drips on them for blood. The kids just love these.
I love Mummy dogs, Kerry!!!
LOL I love that breakfast face! The bones look like fun to make…
I’m hoping they’re fun & easy!
I love the breakfast skull. That’s fantastic. I always liked making the little mummies with crescent dough and mini hot dogs. Bloody finger bread sticks were always a hit with my boys too.
The bloody finger bread sticks sound like they would be very cool!
Oh wow! I love the bacon & eggs skull. Very cool! Good places to check for Halloween recipes is on Pillsbury’s and/or Kraft’s websites. Very fun!! I just love Halloween!
I will be sure to check out those sites! Thanks for the tip, Barb!
I love the ideas. I usually dye the cake batter orange or green & then bake cupcakes. I use orange frosting & orange sugar crystals on top then I pipe a star in green on top to make pumpkin cupcakes.–Rachel
Oh, Rachel, you sound like a very talented baker!
The breakfast looks delicious!
I would love to much on that!
OH dear. Me and the kitchen just don’t mix well at all. For real. It usually involves blood shed or smoke. LOL
I like the valuable info you provide in your articles. I will bookmark your weblog and check once more right here regularly. I am quite certain I will be told a lot of new stuff proper here! Best of luck for the following!
