Today, my guest is the most fabulous Vivi Anna!!! Welcome, Vivi! Vivi has a new demon book that will be out soon from Samhain, and I can’t wait to read this story. I love Vivi’s Nocturnes (I’m addicted to them) and I’m eagerly looking forward to her demon world.
I’ve always thought demons were interesting choices for characters in books. Of course, they’ve been labeled as villains since the beginning of time, but now that tide is turning. More and more demons are coming out of the closet as would be heroes. Gone is the persona of evil. Reluctant heroism comes in its place.
I’ve liked the possibility of demons as heroes. There is so much angst to deal with. I mean hello, you’re a demon. Talk about your damaged hero. Wow! And after I read Lilith Saintcrow’s first Dante Valentine book, I was in deep love with a demon hero. Her hero Japhrimel is outstanding. I also have to admit, the demon in Kim Harrison’s Hollow series, Algaliarept fascinates me on all kinds of levels. Although he is extremely dangerous and I wouldn’t want to cross him, I find I’m just a wee bit attracted to him.
So, when I was talking to my BFF Kim and Delilah about writing a series of linked books together and what kind of hero I wanted, I said Demon immediately. I knew I could do something special with him. So the great and powerful Malvo came to be and I loved every minute of exorcising him from my mind and putting him down on paper.
He’s two parts dangerous, one part damaged. But one hundred percent delicious. He can conjure at will and possesses unimaginable strength. But deep down inside he yearns for something more. It was that more that I played upon. It was what drove the story.
DEMON DREAMER, coming from Samhain Publishing, July 14, is Malvo’s story. I hope you will come along for the ride. It’s guaranteed to be wild.

Sounds like a definite book choice for me. As far as demons that are HOT, I love Kimberley Ray’s demons Ash and his brothers in her vampire series. HOT HOT HOT!
Congratulations on the upcoming book, Vivi. And I have to repeat what I said at the BB: what a gorgeous cover!
I like a good demon tale. (Oer even a good demon with a tail) or whatever. The cover art is scrumptious, the story sounds great, and I’m ready for a summer demon read.

Wow what a gorgeous cover! I love Vivi’s Nocturnes also. She’s fabulous.

Thanks ladies for coming over to play. And thanks for all the great comments.
This book is part of a linked series. The first book is by my BFF Kimberly Kaye Terry and is called Angelique’s Release, the second book is by Delilah Devlin and is called Stone’s Embrace (Gargoyle hero my peeps! Woot!) and then my book. They all come out on July 14 from Samhain Publishing.

Check it out.
Hi Cynthia and Vivi,
I saw this cover the other day on one of your other blog posts, and it is gorgeous! So is this book linked with Delilah’s and Kim’s or is this new series just yours? Love your description of Malvo, and he certainly looks 100% delicious *drool*
Fantastic cover! Story sounds delicious too!
My book is linked with Kim and Delilah’s. It’s a series called Captive Souls about three sisters that have never met and they are all linked by something in their past. These books are about when they are called together.
That cover is pretty sweet! I love the tats!
This book sounds really cool! I’ve very much been enjoying the Valorian Chronicles. Thanks!
I’d love to see what Vivi does with demons. All her books top my reading lists.
Hugs, danette
My first introduction to a demon I could love was Lilith Saintcrow’s Japhrimel too. I then followed it by reading Larrisa Ione’s Demonica Series and Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series. I look forward to starting on Vivi Anna’s demons soonest 😀
I have to agree with you… When I read Lilith Saintcrow’s Dante series, I fell hard for Japhrimel! Now thinking about it, he would have to be my first introduction to demon in stories.
Then there is Jacqueline Frank, Larrisa Ione, and some authors that are not coming to the top of my head.
I know my friend Lillie would be interested in this one. She’s into the demons *wiggles her brows knowing Bama and Lillie would no doubt come to this contest*
scroll up Rao!*wiggles brows*
I love the cover and the tat is pretty cool!
Please enter me in the contest.
Thanks!
Vivi,
I will definitely be keeping a watch out for this series over at Samhain! Demon Dreamer sounds like its going to be an awesome read. I love the cover.
Yeah I have Larissa’s books on my TBR pile. I can’t wait to dive into them. I hear amazing things about them.
I think Demons are the new black
Great idea with the series, I will be sure to check them all out. As for demons, they are the ultimate bad boys, just waiting to be redeemed.
I really want to read this:)
I love linked series that give you a world that you are exposed to in different author’s voices. I just started the Immortals and have the Crimson City books on my list. Adding this one….
this looks and feels like a steamy story! cant wait to read it!
I agree that is very interesting to see demons start out as evil and completely change how they are viewed now. I love all the different series that are out there now and the different directions each one takes. 🙂
Omg that tatoo is smokin hot. I would buy this book for the cover alone. I cant wait to read it.
Gorgeous cover! Can’t wait to read it! 😀
Fab cover- I’m loving that tattoo and Malvo sounds very interesting.
Love that cover, too, can’t wait to read it, Vivi.
Wow! What a gorgeous cover. I wants! 😀
ooh I have this on my TBB list. As Cynthia can verify – I am so there when it comes to demons. I’m the newest cheerleader for demons – hero or otherwise. I can’t get enough of them.
The cover art is fantastic! Absolutely gorgeous, and not just the guy! 😀 I have been eyeballing this!
Sounds great and love the cover!
I just have to tell you, Vivi…I LOVE THIS COVER!!!!
Wow, love the cover!
