Back to Business

I’m currently re-reading the work I’ve done on my succubus story. I’ve written 312 pages, but I stopped the story to write my novella, and then, due to a family situation, I haven’t gotten back on the writing horse as fast as I’d hoped I would. So, now, I’m trying to get back into the story–back into the minds of my characters.

I’m editing as I read (maybe that will save me some time later!). Adding more tidbits about my villain (cuz there has to be one, of course! And I want to flesh him out more!), and trying to make certain my characters are behaving consistently.

After I finish this book (and I’m aiming for mid-August), I’d like to start another novel. I was trying to determine today just how much I think I can get done by the end of the year. Okay. Let’s say by Thanksgiving, because after Turkey Day, my mind will be on presents and Christmas trees. I think I’ll shoot for one more novel, maybe one more novella.

I’m blogging over at The Bradford Bunch today. I’m talking about a writer’s need to let go of fear…and I’m giving away a book from my backlist. If you get a chance, come on over!

Real Crime vs. Scooby Doo

Any big fans of Scooby Doo out there? If so, then you’ve gotta take this quiz. You get to determine if the event described is a real crime…or if it was a storyline in a Scooby Doo episode.

Villains

Posted in Romance on July 19th, 2007 by Cynthia Eden

Today on the Brava Blog, I’ve posted about villains who steal the show. Sometimes, I’ll watch a movie, or read a book, and I find myself rooting more for the bad guy than I do for the hero! If this has ever happened to you, check out the Brava Blog and leave me a comment.

Hope you’re having a great Thursday!

Pictures from Magnolia

Posted in Romance on July 18th, 2007 by Cynthia Eden

I thought I’d go ahead and post a few pics from my photo expedition (ooohh…I just like the sound of that!) to Magnolia Cemetery. Later, I’ll change the photos to black and white and play with different effects. For now, well, these are the images straight from the camera.
