Booksigning and Books Back to Blog

If you happen to be at the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama, this weekend, stop by the Books-A-Million for a signing! Here are the full details:

Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 3 pm:  Booksigning at Books-A-Million in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Cynthia will be signing copies of her new release, IMMORTAL DANGER, at the Books-A-Million store located at 3800 Gulf Shores Parkway, Gulf Shores, AL  36542.  Award-winning author Candace Sams will also be signing copies of her latest Dorchester release, ELECTRA GALAXY’S MR. INTERSTELLAR FELLER at the event.

(And a very big thank you to Edith for organizing this signing!)

I’m not doing any writing today (I know, gasp!!! What am I thinking?!), but I sure am emjoying a little bit of reading time before I jump into my next book.  I like to think of this as a little post RT downtime.  🙂  Wanna see the books I’ve got lined up?

Okay, let me just admit it–I started reading Christine Feehan’s Burning Wild last night (I picked it up yesterday at Books-A-Million), and the book kept me up until 1:30 a.m. So good!!!

But wait, there are more books…

In the interest of complete honesty, I have already read some of these–a few of these books are presents for friends.  Lucky friends cause they are great reads!

But this one…it’s all mine:

I had only planned to take 2 days off before writing again, so the odds of me getting through all the books I want to read? Very, very low.  But I can dream.

What about you?  What books are in your pile?

I’m in the throes of writing my last pages. When I’m like this, I don’t read much fiction so I haven’t bought much and I’ve actually read my pile. (Because I can’t stay away too long. That’s worse than staying away from chocolate, which I’m also trying to do.)

I have a package from Amazon winging its way to me soon. Nancy Haddock’s book was on pre-order, to be released next week, I think. I’m guessing they’ll hold the other books and send them all at once.

As soon as I’m done with my wip, I’m heading to the booksore.

Pile? What is this pile of which you write? I have about 4 double-rowed shelves of TBR at this point! 🙂

Ooh! Nice! I have the Candace Sams book to read and Scream for Me was AWESOME! *g* Just saying. Right now I have a small, very small, TBR stack with Deadly Harvest by Heather Graham and Secret Life of a Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks. I just finished Rumor Has it by Tami Hoag and NightWalk by Heather Graham. *g*
    Happy Reading!

I am halfway through Immortal Danger 😉 – but I have lined up Jennifer Lyons Blood Magic and I have just finished The Madness Of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley – a historical in which the hero suffers from Asbergers Syndome. Was excellent, great hero/heroine a good mystery and of course the treatment of mental illnesses in Victorian times – barbaric.

Oo – Oo, I saw my book on your pile, Cyn. How cool! I have books that I’d bought a couple of weeks ago that I’m presently working on. The books I got from the RT conference are “winging” their way home. I’d purchased a couple of boxes from the post-office and mailed ’em rather than take a chance with the weight limits.

I saw several on your pile that I have in mine. Enjoy but don’t take too long to get back to your writing. I’m waiting for the next masterpiece. You’re gonna have a hard time beatin’ Immortal Danger. That book was so totally awesome!

I just came home with Feehan’s Burning Wild, The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley and To Beguile a Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt.

I’m so jealous of your tbr pile. I have S.J. Day’s “Eve of Darkness” and Jennifer Lyon’s “Blood Magic” on my pile.

Blood Magic is an awesome read! Wants the first Jeri Smith Ready book and What Happens in Vegas in pic 2! Burning Wild is out already?! *sniffles*
