(I think I’d like another day to recover from my weekend, please!) Wow–this was a busy weekend. Yep, I did the Jingle Bell charity event on Saturday. And yes, I did have five-year-olds speeding past me. Such is the way of my life. Joan took pictures, so I’ll try to post some later this week.

The Witty and Wicked Book Club (the book club I’m in that only selects romance novels) pick for December is a great holiday read: TO DO LIST by the talented Lauren Dane. I loved this story. LOVED it. So, when it came time to pick a holiday read for our December pick, this story came instantly to mind. A fun, sexy novella–perfect for reading during the hectic December days.
This novella has recently been released in an anthology, HOLIDAY SEDUCTION. The anthology also includes a tale by Jaci Burton. (I am all about Jaci’s demon hunters–have you read them?)
In other book news, Bradford author Beth Williamson has just released the third installment in her Devils on Horseback series. ZEKE definitely sounds like a book I would enjoy–a very tortured and less-than perfect hero, a strong heroine, and wild ride in the old West. You can read an excerpt of this story here. Hi, Willa! Ohh–I’ve got the Magical Christmas Cat. So far, I’ve only read Lora Leigh’s story and 1/2 of Nalini’s–but I sure love what I’ve seen so far! Can’t wait to finish the rest!
I’m reading Stroke of Insight by Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain scientist who had a stroke. This is normally not the kind of book I’d read, but I saw her on Oprah and she was so amazing, I had to read her book. Of course, I have a stack of books to read. My next book will be Liz Kreger’s Promise For Tomorrow. I critiqued it a couple years ago, and I’m looking forward to reading it all polished and beautiful. 🙂
Y’all are going to really enjoy The Magical Christmsa Cat stories! I know I did! *G* I just finished (at midnight last night) Salvation in Death, the latest J.D. Robb. And Friday I read All I Want for Christmas is a Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks. Whew! That was a hot read! *G*

I love Lauren’s books. I just got “Undercover”, yesterday, looking forward to that read after the holidays. I just finished “A Mermaid’s Kiss”, by Joey Hill and it was absolutely fabulous. I can’t wait to read and excerpt from Immortal Danger – it sounds awesome.
After Joey’s book I decided I needed a light read so I picked up a little Harlequin Blaze book by Tori Carrington called “Restless”. Will start it today – was going to yesterday but life got in the way! lol

I’m trying to get through The Proviso, by my friend Moriah Jovan. It’s a really good book, but it’s a really long book. It’s over 700 pages. AND in a compact font.

Now, get some rest okay? Our weekend was busy too, and I’m still in my jammies. I think I crash-landed!
Those books look so good! I may just have to add them to my list, even though it’s already very long.
I’m currently working on finishing Dan Brown’s DIGITAL FORTRESS. I absolutely loving this book! I have a love of cryptology which I developed over my two cryptology courses in both undergrad and grad math work, and this book only makes me want to delve more deeply into the field again.
